Re: Reflections on Flatlined

I'm not really sure. I think it's pretty easy to tailor it to any size. I had 3 players and it worked out well. You could easily dial up or down the threat level. For a smaller group then add a few more skill points/packages. It could even work for 1 player if your mainly interested in the suspense ...

Reflections on Flatlined

Spoilers ahead to the Flatlined adventure. I've only used the MgT 2e rules for 2300AD in the past. Recently, I set out to run Flatlined (from the Great Rift boxed set) on Roll20. I've always liked the conciet of the amnesiac opening to a scenario ever since playing Sandman back in the 80s. It's done...

Re: Looking for an Adventure

Then I don't think it meets the initial premise of this thread. It might be a useful thing for the community to supply some pregens for some (or each) of the published MgT scenarios even if Mongoose, itself, chooses not to.

2300AD PGMPs

What happened to the blast radius on plasma weapons? For example, in the GDW version the Mk 2-A2 PGMP has a "DP value: As tamped explosion (EP=4)". Meaning increments of 5m may inflict lessening degrees of concussion damage beyond the initial contact damage. Whereas the Mongoose version just lists d...

Re: Jointly Using MgT1e and MgT2e ?

I use the auto-fire rules from 1e. I just think rolling a dice pool has a better feel than rolling one attack after another as 2e specifies.

Re: Mongoose Traveller in Tandem w other RPGs ?

I use the Coriolis/Mutant year zero push mechanic. It allows the player a re-roll on a failed skill check, but at a cost. The cost in Coriolis is darkness points (DPs). One re-roll is allowed, but results in a DP. It's a point system whereby the GM can spend DPs to add complications for the players....

Re: 2300AD - Standalone RPG?

I agree, a standalone book would be a big help. It works well for the Gumshoe and Fate game lines. It helps keep the game play consistent within the setting book, rather than having to figure out which core rules match with a particular edition. For example, I have 2e MgT and recently converted from...

2300AD GDW character conversion

Has anyone done a 2300AD GDW to Mongoose character conversion?
