Re: TravellerMap.com as a really GOOD resource

What I do not do is share this with my players. I think I could be brave (mature) enough to encourage my players to use TravellerMap, but I don’t like the idea that they roam around in the Traveller Wiki. Sure, most information is harmless but I think there are too many spoilers that they can stumb...

Re: TravellerMap.com as a really GOOD resource

TravellerMap is a fantastic resource and as a referee I use it a lot. It’s very convenient to be able to click on a system, get some details and then follow a link to the wiki page – which is another fantastic resource. What I do not do is share this with my players. I think I could be brave (mature...

Re: Armour Coverage

We use a house rule with hit locations that predates the Traveller Companion and is different in its mechanics. It does however have the same issues for partial armours. I don’t have a table or matrix for all armour types and I do normally not find it necessary. I simply use the description in the C...

Great Rift Adventure 4, 5, 6, ...

Hi, I’m starting a campaign in the Great Rift with my group, using Flatlined as the first adventure and then continuing outwards into the Island Subsectors. The three adventures that exist seems good and I’m really looking forward to running Deepnight Endeavour! It would however be great with furthe...

Great Rift Adventure 3: Flatlined 2D Deck Plan

Is there a 2D deck plan for the 200 ton Smallhauler available for download somewhere?

It’s a square box so it’s not too complicated to draw it from scratch but it would be convenient to have it premade...

Re: Spy on the Zhodani

Personality overlay technology, temporary personality wafer tech, memory/personality editing. Before heading into Zho space they have their personalities and memories backed up and then all traces of spookdom is removed from their brain. They then go off and have their adventures and when they retu...

Re: Spy on the Zhodani

Such people would be under greater surveillance by the Zho police than anyone else. The first time a Zhod official tried to read the thoughts of a psi null or an artificially shielded person that woud flag the 'thoughtless' person as someone of interest... One in 36 Zhodani citizens is a PsiNull, a...

Re: State of the Mongoose 2018

Regarding the Alien Modules, I would wish for a kind of material which helps a gamemaster to portray them more easily to the players. For example when players visit an outpost of the kkree what impressions do they have. What kind of electronics to kkree have, what is the smell there and which exoti...

Spy on the Zhodani

My players are planning to setup a small trading company in either Jewell Subsector or Regina Subsector with the official purpose of performing trade with Zhodani and Vargr. This is of course only a cover for their real business: smuggling and intelligence gathering in the Zhodani Consulate (one of ...

As someone that plays online more often than not what’s the possibility of a digital version of this?
Yes, that would be very nice.

A set of tokens with typical 3I aliens for Roll20 would be great.

Re: So, what's with the supplements?

A huge starport with maps and lot of details would be great. So much time is spent on starports since players in transit often do not bother going planet side. It would of course be very interesting to see the same work for all sizes of starports. An encyclopaedia over aliens in charted space would ...

Re: Tell me what you want.

How sensors work, how you use the to counter opponents sweeps and how the can affect transponders being recognised. Hell, just some firm transponder info would be great as it seems you can change them (maybe) but it difficult, but you can turn them off but it looks suspicious?!? Yes, more info abou...

Re: Small drones / Unmanned aerial vehicles

Good point. In MegaTraveller Imperial Encyclopedia the volume of a grav belt is 25 litres at TL 12 and 15 litres as TL 15 (p. 59). Shaped as a sphere that means a diameter of 363 mm at TL 12 and 306 mm at TL 15. However, that is for lifting 300 kg which is a factor of 100 or 1000 more than what is r...

Re: Small drones / Unmanned aerial vehicles

Here's a late TL7 reconnaissance drone: Mavic Pro 20×8×8 cm collapsed for storage, I think about 30×30×8 cm expanded for flight 743 grams. Five cameras, 24 computer cores, two ultrasonic rangefinders, and GPS with inertial backup Top speed is 65 km/h (18 meters per second), and endurance is 27 minu...

Re: Small drones / Unmanned aerial vehicles

I have made a draft for two different types of flying recon drones. They are based mainly on the information found in the robots section of CSC (p. 70-76) but the programing texts comes from the drone section in the vehicle handbook (p. 66-68). The first type is available in a TL 8 and a TL 10 versi...

Re: Small drones / Unmanned aerial vehicles

I’ve been winging a few things like this in my campaign. For a durable autonomous drone usable in vacuum and other hostile environments I set the price at a few KCr; for cheap, less durable models it could be Cr100 or so. This is probably a good subject for a supplement.... I think that is a good p...
