Looks like a great start. Was it difficult to squeeze into so few spaces?

Re: Trepida Grav Tank

I would worry less about matching exact mass or volume, but about capability. The Trepida is a fairly light grav tank with curiously thin armour and a light auto-fire fusion gun. Good advice. I want it to approach the same size as closely as possible to please the canon fans but also make it with a...

Trepida Grav Tank

I'm working on an update of the Trepida grav tank for MgT2 and attempting to be true to canon. Based on the numbers from the Rebellion Sourcebook and the 101 Vehicles guides, it appears the tank might either be 10 or 13 tons of displacement. Please see the graphics below. The 101 Vehicles version li...

Heroforge "Traveller" minis

I supported Heroforge's Full-Color Custom Miniatures Kickstarter and have been having some fun generating Traveller characters with it. A few of note: Zhodani noble using telekinesis: https://i.ibb.co/84vsQdQ/zhodani.png A Glorious Empire Aslan mercenary commander: https://i.ibb.co/jbvmh48/ge-merc-c...

Re: Pirates of Drinax - GMs thread

Yes, my lot did this one just before my blog started. They started talking to the security chief and after some back and forth the party got maintenance overalls to go in and "clean" the ship. The security chief stood to benefit from working out what it was. Fairly normal traveller side adventure. ...

Re: a campaign based on Arbellatra?

I think that a linked series of adventures based around Grand Admiral Arbellatra defeating the Out-World Coalition in the Second Frontier War and her going to Capital to defeat the current Barracks Emperor would make for an epic level campaign. Great idea. It could potentially be run, all or in par...

Re: History/Overview

You're right, Claybor, there isn't anything wrong with that. Unfortunately, this game's lore is spread out across multiple versions and varying book types. Some of it is in adventures, some is in sourcebooks, bits are in campaign sets. It's all over the place. That's kind of the thrill of it, actual...

You can't edit your own stuff very well, because you know what you think you wrote.

I'm not sure of what you are trying to learn here.
Just wondering if there are specifics on how ortillery must be used. Your idea that advanced materials make it possible is a good one.

Re: The Beyond: A Revision

Beautiful update, Geir. Forgive me if I've missed your response on this elsewhere, but will you be taking this to Joshua Bell at Travellermap to present it as an alternative for the sector? It's far superior and more consistent with canon.

Mass drivers

A mass driver, a.k.a. "ortillery gun" according to High Guard, "fires large, solid projectiles at speeds optimised for smashing planetary targets." But...how close would they have to be to a planet that has a thin or higher atmosphere to avoid the ammo burning up in the atmosphere while enroute to t...

Re: Turret questions

Regarding missile racks, the rack is said to hold 12 missiles. If you had a single turret, you could fire one missile per round for 12 rounds. If you have a triple missile turret, do you consume the loaded stock three times as fast? Or is the rack thought to carry 36 missiles instead of only 12? See...

Re: Pirates of Drinax - GMs thread

Old School, I liked your comment that it gets old. It does. Piracy is fun one or two times and then gets kind of rote. Plus, the Harrier is just too damned powerful to make it interesting. It's a ridiculously powerful ship and I'm kind of glad it's not being featured in my campaign right now. The gr...

Re: Pirates of Drinax - GMs thread

I started Traveller with a group of newbies to Traveller (but experienced pen & paper players) in November last year. It’s also my first game in Traveller but I wanted to play or GM it for quite a while now (what else to do with all this traveller-stuff in my bookcase and PC?). They wanted pirates ...

Re: Pirates of Drinax - GMs thread

Restarted my Drinax campaign last night after an eight-month hiatus. We had a good start, but the new group (two returning players and one new one) is taking a vastly different tack. They won't be doing the piracy part—Miria Silverhand (from "Honour Among Thieves") will be flying the Harrier and the...

Me, no, all good but thank you. I’ve been having a blast doing new ships from the ground up for my non-OTU game. Doing it old skool, pencils and graph paper ;)
Ah, memories. I still have some of mine from the 80's. :D
