On page 199, the SYDKAI-CLASS DETACHED FRIGATE is listed as having both Reflec and Stealth. My hard copy of High Guard says on page 13 that these 2 options cannot be combined.

Re: How much combat do you have in your campaigns?

In the one campaign I have run under MgT2 I had the group run a hypothetical bank heist scenario to get used to the combat system after rolling up their characters. The bank was at a class A starport and I kept escalating the response until the team was all down and mostly dead. They gained a health...

Re: Starport defences

Thing that bothers me, everyone seems to think the universe is in pre-war status and every system is a potential target similar to how many Americans feel they need arsenals to defend their homes from imminent invasion. How many nations around the world have their seaports defended with gun emplace...

Re: New Paizo SF RPG: Competitor with Traveller?

If I ran a Starfinder game my local group would play. Traveller I can't get any traction with because a couple of the grognards have PTSD from CT character gen and are very vocal about it.

It's frustrating.

Re: Damaged Armor/gear

20% per point of damage for the repair of highly technical armor protection works for me. I think repair costs should be high. If you were to build, say, a Ford F-150 from parts it would cost you 4 to 5 times the price of a new truck from the dealer. I've run into the same issue in cycling, where it...

Starfinder, a sci fi/space travel version of Pathfinder, is coming out next month. You should be able to mine that for ideas.

Apparently an advanced version of the Protec Suit is TL7 "At Garrison, we take pride in building relationships and trust with each and every one of our clients. That’s why, this year, it was crucial that we offer our clients a true bespoke suit. We created the bullet-proof suit to keep our clients s...

Lord Lovat makes a good model for the competent noble commander

From Wikipedia

"Brigadier Simon Christopher Joseph Fraser, 15th Lord Lovat and 4th Baron Lovat, DSO, MC, TD, JP, DL was the 25th Chief of the Clan Fraser of Lovat and a prominent British Commando during the Second World War."

How about applying a bane if you don't have Zero G experience, and applying a boon only if you have extensive Zero G training a la Star Marines?

Re: Mercenary Accreditation and Weapons permits

IIRC a weapon you get as a mustering out benefit, such as an ACR, comes with all the appropriate licenses.

No license? Keep it stowed away while in port.

We always played that Class A-C starports were at least T12 or could support the jump drives required to reach them, whichever was higher. I don't recall a rule like the one you are looking for, but it's been a long time since I actually played the game.

Re: Questions about sensors, comms, signals, etc.

But databases should have a complete list of all commercial ships and private vessels, even if the information is out of date; so a forty year old freetrader that made it's way from the Solomani Rim to the Spinward Marches would be identifiable, though not updated on current ownership. Good point. ...

Re: Questions about sensors, comms, signals, etc.

What happens when a ship enters a system for the first time, before word of its presence in the sector makes its way to the port? It will have a new and unknown transponder signature by definition. Does it have to wait in quarantine until the next X-boat mail packet arrives?

Re: Large amounts of cash on ships

You could set up a Captain's Guild, or a Merchantmen Trust, and being in good standing adds a couple of dee emms during contract negotiations and encounters. Call the consortiums what ever you like, but they do offer a possible answer to the question of "how do we know we can trust you?" in the big...

Re: Ship's Locker: Out of the Closet

This probably requires someone with Profession/Gunsmith, to tinker with a pump action shotgun. Once he has, you depress the trigger and slide the pump action continuously, causing the hammer to drop every time, and you have an automatish fire; it's referred to as slamfire. Or you could acquire a WI...
