Very solid.
My only takeaway issue on first read through is that early on (Page 11) the estate staff describes Rrongva as a Vargr, but when you get to the character profiles at the back she has become a human.

Re: Boarding shield's armour bonus
I personally never ruled that you can keep the armour bonus and still fire. Getting your gun or eyes, or whatever out there to line up and take a shot is still giving your enemy the opportunity to hit you at that point, a hard shot (The -2) but with no shield between you. Combat is a fluid and simul...

Re: Your thoughts on a query?
Everyone here has answered you in their typically fair and actually informative way. You should listen to them. Though your query actually asked if it was cool to murder all the PC's -between- sessions...no. Never. Do not murder players between sessions. Turning up to a session and then going, "Righ...

Re: How do you rate my strictly by the rules Drinax
Yeah. No. I mean, I went nuts with my players in Drinax, I really just let them get in heavy. Drinax at the start of the campaign has Asim, and that's it. I'm not sure they spell out the "Starguard" line-up explicitly, but it's poor. Very poor. My Drinax had a Scout/Courier, a battered old Free Trad...

Okay, can we ban him now? I would disapprove of this use of censorship. If it's really pushing againt the limits of your personal tolerance, there is a block feature in the forum software. I mean, it's not censorship. This is a private companies forum, to discuss their games. They can do whatever t...

Re: How to stop luck ruining the game
Okay, can we ban him now? I'm serious. My famed and notorious luck with 2D6 rolls has ruined many Traveller Campaigns over many years by getting The Pcs rich enough to be able to buy enough to kill any foe I could reasonably send after them by the use of extreme firepower then have enough to bribe ...

It's also a theme that very occasionally someone (MJD in this case, and several others) gives a good, succinct answer to said rambling question. But suddenly, "NOPE! That info I gave was wrong, here's even more garbage to muddy the waters." As you have been told several times (MJD again) play a scra...

Re: What remains powered on a ship after a powerplant failure?
Side note: As anyone who has ever served aboard a modern warship can tell you, power is life. We had emergency cabling and converters made up to bridge power across damaged sections, patch in emergency generators or unfamiliar shore power configurations. All the engineering staff were drilled consta...

Re: Pirates of Drinax - GMs thread
Yeah. My players made the "moral" choice and jammed the guy in a low berth. Then they decided this was great....they now have a room full of assorted scientists, pirates, imperial officials, and just people that have crossed them, that they refer to as "The Archives" hidden in an old bunker on Ergo....

I don't know if they do it on everything. But all the physical books I've purchased through the Mongoose store, I've emailed Matt at msprange@mongoosepublishing.com and received a DriveThru link for the PDF as well.

Re: Drinax: The Game of Sun and Shadow, Naval Character Creation
I tweaked it somewhat, and used the Naval character creation rules from the Naval campaign guide in the Element Cruiser box set (which I'm not sure is out for general consumption past the kickstarter backers yet?) then had them create a command crew for an Imperial ship, flashed back and ran a modif...

Re: Building the Alliance in Pirates of Drinax
Yeah, I don’t see Browne as part of the campaign. Browne’s got its own problems, and Ihatei and Pirates ain’t among them! My crew identified Pourne as a key resource early on. They’ve buttered up the bureaucrats there by solving the mystery ship issue, spending lots of cash on ship repairs and comp...

Re: The futility of Pirates of Drinax?
There will come the moment in the campaign, when my players, accustomed to systems where a few dozen starships is considered fairly high traffic, will jump for the first time into a major Aslan system, and their radar screen will just go WHITE with tens of thousands of contacts. I'm looking forward...

Re: [Pirates of Drinax] Drinaxi military at the start of the campaign
The Life Events for generating a denizen of the floating palace in book two does have one roll where you can inherit a Star Guard commission (then sell it on if you choose) so I reckon it's a very fair view that the Hawk Warriors do something similar.

Re: So, what's with the supplements?
So what you're saying is that you have to buy the campaign bloat to get the actual meat of the system that gets added alongside them and there will never be a clear separate product that eliminates the need to hunt down the changes piecemeal? Or are the new mechanics covered in specific chapters in...

I have run Liberty Port. I ran it more as an aside adventure. They came into port in Sperle (After earning a bit of a name for themselves elsewhere over the last few months) and were approached by the Free Sperle Society, they agreed to help with the procurement and setup of the port facilities and ...

Re: Need Referee help with Secrets of the Ancients campaign
Might not work with your group, and might not gel with the current GM mindset of let the players do whatever they want, and roll with it. But my players did something similarly out of character (for them, heh) in an earlier adventure. My solution to regain order and save myself having to rework ever...

Re: Pirates of Drinax - GMs thread
I feel like someone must have mentioned something about it somewhere...because something similar crept into my campaign. The dorsal barbette only has a 200ish degree forward field of file in my campaign. I have a feeling that the players might have actually started it themselves. Based on the look o...
