Google Maps Player Locator

Threw this together with the excellent feature of Google Maps. Feel free to throw in your location (within reason, because privacy) with a short attached comment. It's always nice to see where other Traveller players are. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1th6A4vTuubMIQdUv_y2FPr_VCPZ-79qf&usp=sharing

Re: High Guard is Here!

I'm afraid that with how enthusiastic you guys are, there is going to be a need for Errata sheets per update so that we get an idea of what actually got fixed. If we have to completely reread the book from front to back every time, then we may miss some of the material you guys slaved so hard to get...

Re: High Guard is Here!

Still holding out hope that with all these changes, and the future ones, we might get a small annotation somewhere that displays a change version number or date, something to let us know that the copy we are using is the latest one... I've got a couple copies between my wacom tablet, and my desktop ...

Re: High Guard is Here!

If it's the simplest solution,

You've never BEEN in the Navy, have you?

(kidding)

That is absolutely the best answer so far.. guidelines.. rolling word around in mouth... I like it.

Re: High Guard is Here!

Couldn't the whole ship be designated a hamster cage? Like a planetoid, spinning the whole thing instead of designating it as a separate ring... I mean, you could make rings that go around the planetoid, but why not just spin the whole thing and be done with it? At least for some planetoid designs.

Re: High Guard is Here!

The only problem is if you chose type Non-gravity and configuration planetoid, because we do not know what that would cost. HAAA KAHLAL AKLAL HALLL ALALLALLA AAAALLLL! A pox on your ancestors, infidel! This is the whole core of the problem! Heh heh, is there a chance that an answer will be forthcom...

Re: High Guard is Here!

No-gravity-plates hull had a price at the beginning of the hull section. You can extrapolate it for the planetoid. Yeah, said 25,000 Cr instead of 50,000 Cr... for ship hulls... for planetoids the default cost is 4,000 Cr.. so extrapolating, planetoids without grav plates cost either 2,000 Cr or -2...

Re: High Guard is Here!

Excellent! Thanks for all the great follow up work you guys do, if for no other reason than to ease our minds as we lie in bed at night with sweaty clammy hands, thinking of all the ways the players want to exploit every flaw in our universes..

Re: High Guard is Here!

Hello moriturimax So my question boils down to, if a Planetoid does NOT have gravity plates, ie Non-Gravity Hull, the price goes UP from 4,000 Credits per ton to 25,000 Credits per ton? Or does it cost 2,000 Credits per ton? That was my primary confusion. Thanks! Planetoid and Buffered Planetoid hu...

Re: High Guard is Here!

One more stab at Planetoids/Buffered Planetoids... can they be mixed with the Non-Gravity Hulls? Their price already is pretty low, or are they considered to always be Non-gravity unless you add it? If so, what are the price modifiers for adding it?

Just want to cover all my bases. Thanks!

Re: High Guard is Here!

It always surprises me in this day and age that when something intensive like High Guard is put out, that the spreadsheet to go with it isn't also made available for download. Granted it may not be the most understandable thing to many sophonts, but it would be something that would let those of us w...

Re: High Guard is Here!

Regarding the Massive Ships rule, as ships breakaway into different combinations of pieces, (say 150,000 ton ship that can break into 3 x 50,000 ton hulls) do HP per ton get recalculated for each combination? Or do the individual ships have proportionate shares of the combined HP by the total tonna...

Re: High Guard is Here!

Copied from the pdf: "DESIGN CHECKLIST", It's just a strange font. Well Font or no Font, if a letter in the PDF looks exactly like another letter unless you go around copying and pasting it to see if you need better prescription glasses, it might not BE the best font to use. Heh, sort of a corollar...

Not sure if I missed a refeence, but the Design Chechlist diagrams are neat.. yes, I said, it Design CHECHLIST .... :D PS with the rate of fixes I can see happening, perhaps you could add a version number at the beginning or end of the book.. just so it doesn't become impossible for people to actual...

Re: High Guard is Here!

Got the email and the newest update.. Thanks! Was playing with Breakaway Hulls and had a thought that is scaring me with the recursion potential... are ALL the breakaway sections considered to be the same Hull Configuration? Or can a ship (say 1,000 tons for example) potentially have a 600 ton Spher...

Re: High Guard is Here!

One final Planetoid/Buffered Planetoid question... are the Hull Points calculated from the Total tonnage of the Planetoid or the Usable tonnage? I can rationalize it either way, but I'd rather go with the official ruling. I have no official answer for you, but it is my understanding that total tonn...
