Re: Vacc suits for free?

Well, there’s also the Diplo-Vest and Protec Suit for a little bit of comfort when the tricked-out HazMat Suit is too obvious…

Re: Gas giant depths?

T5 goes into quite some detail regarding gas giant atmospheres, far as I know that’s the most developed info out there for Traveller.

Perhaps you could just define a demarcation as ‘sea level’? I’d go with ‘Deep’ being 1 Atm pressure. Not sure how to develop temperature info tho.

Re: Vacc suits for free?

They could be included in the Ship’s Locker, maybe one TL8 Vacc Suit per required crew position, along with a rescue bubble for each stateroom.

Re: Security Systems, Crime Prevention, and Traveller

Back in the Classic days there was a supplement called Forms & Charts that had a selection of ID cards. Just basic character sheets really but might be a good place to start.

Re: 2300AD UCP question

I do not know the 2300 system at all but I’m pretty sure the Population Multiplier is the same as in previous versions of Traveller: The straight UWP/UPP Pop digit is an exponent, the number of zeroes in the count. The Pop Multiplier is the number the exponent is appended to. Thus Kingsland (Pop 5, ...

Is the Drinax system info listed somewhere? Curious how these distances were determined.

Also ratchet up the abilities of the foes. Better armor, better weapons. Better skills - give him a taste of his own medicine.

Re: High Guard Update - Comments Needed!

In my game I expanded the term Events table to D66 and added those mission assignments back in, along with appropriate skills and opportunities for medals. For all the careers actually. Also added a few choices in the skill tables so Medic and Engineer aren’t so devilishly hard to come by. Oh, and y...

Re: Stealth and fusion plant exhaust

How quickly does all the waste heat dissipate into background noise once it’s exhausted out of the nozzles? If you play RAW many sensor packages have a -DM imposed on basic tasks. DM-4 for Civilian sensors can be hard to overcome. Stealth hulls are simply tech that can defeat a couple components of ...

Freakin' awesome, as always.

Have to say tho, I kind of expected a new cover to illustrate the actual High Guard maneuver... you know, a few shuttles skimming down in the gas giant atmosphere while that beautiful beastie in the foreground watches over them...

Still, great work!

I have the pleasure of reporting that Deepnight Revelation has arrived today :D Oh man - this thing is GORGEOUS. I’m completely overwhelmed! In the best way possible! Just flipping through a few things and I can’t wait to roll up my sleeves and take a deep dive into this. The new ships, vehicles and...

Re: High Guard Update - Comments Needed!

So basically all you are after is a cartoon physics cinematic system - no thanks. It is perfectly possible to base an rpg ship combat resolution system on 'real' physics that emphasizes player actions Well, we’ve all sort of been looking for that for quite a long time. From the original LBB to Mayd...

Haven’t had a chance to check out everything yet but the Companion is blazing fast on my few-years-old 10” iPad Pro. Re: Traveller T-shirts

I've always thought some "in-universe" stuff would be cool... like a hat for a crew member on the Beowulf or an Element Cruiser or Deepnight. Not an obviously RPG/gamer item but rather something that looks legit. Or maybe some of the classic MegaCorp logos/slogans. i'd buy an Oberlindes Lines t-shir...

Re: Ship Design Philosophy

It’s a valid question. There’s a lot of value in the streamlined approach to the game but sometimes you want a little more concrete to build on. Presumably you’d need to consider the latent Engineer’s Background, specifically the Tech Level they’re educated at. Maybe at TL9 or less only Rocketry is ...
