So do you just set up a scenario and then say ok 3 years have gone by, anything else you want to do? Or are you playing a version of Pocket Empirs where each turn is a year long?

How do you just move something along 5 years?

If the Jump drive is big enough to move the ship into Jump space the lack of M-Drive capacity may not be an issue. The ship could be a transfer point designed to move as much cargo to the next system as possible. It may have to be loaded at the Jump point by tenders once the tonnage exceeds M-Drive ...

I added the clamps to allow non breakaway ships to be hauled along as a battlerider type option. So I would want the docking clamps in there anyway. Extending range has to be somewhat economical or in the realm of feasibility. If a 1000 ton J4 ship was costing 10 million credits per jump it would not take many jumps to have high command buy an extra ship or two.
