I love the Conan setting and as a GM I try my best to describe the world that my players adventure in, as 'Conanish' as possibly. I have may other rpgs and could GM any of them if I want to play another setting, but in my opinion, Conan is Conan, and not D&D etc. To play Conan in any other way would...

If this rumor becomes a fact, then I for one, wont continue to support the Conan game. A game that I had supported here in Sweden just recently changed system, and it wasn't old either. I got so tired of it and lost all interest in the game and got Conan instead. Maybe I'll dig out the old rules som...

I had a telepath in my group and every time she did something that she wasn't allowed to do, I wrote it down (so I would remember it) and I saved it for the day when she had to let herself be scanned by the Corps.

I don't have ACTA so I'll use B52ed for my space battles. I have thought about purchasing it, but I don't know if it's worth it just for the large battles (which I think it might get handy), I'll just do really large battles narrativly (also, large battles will be very scarce in my game, unless I le...

Yes, that would have been even better, a system with a set size for a specific piece of equipment... That would have been very nice indeed, but as you say, maybe next time :)

Maybe you have very little to do, ShadowScout, and feel the urge to do something about it?

Same here, so I added a little house rule, to make poisons deadly, especially the ones with a high DC save. Generally I find poisons pretty lame, so I beefed up the rules  House rule Poisons continue to do their secondary damage each minute as long as a victim fails his/her Fortitude save. ...

IIRC, a Drakh can become an outcast and if so, then he can do pretty much whatever he likes. Granted, not many would like him if they knew what he was and if he meet some old friends I guess they would take care of him, permanently  A lot of 'ifs', but they could make an interesting character,...

Nice idea about the structural decrease, Shadowscout, I'll add it to my collection of ever growing house rules :) I agree about the weapons swap, I would like a little note beside each weapon, that states a weapons minimum size craft. They could have just put a letter next to it. T=Tiny, S=Small etc...

Damien, I like this mastery idea and would like to have whatever document that you produce on this. But I wonder one thing, in Armour Mastery, you have left out Expanded 3, 5 & 7, and a few from the other two as well. Should they be renamed or does it serve some kind of purpose, like, that is the mi...

I think I would have got it with the other books that I ordered (Shipbuilders manual, Drakh, Faith & Fervor and Ruins of Hyboria), but I got a mail that said that it was out of stock (or something) so they would send it to me later.

That would be really nice, I've played Freelancer and liked it a lot. I wonder if it would be difficult to create the ships of B5 in Freelancer?

Damnit Tegmannen, you seem to have a lot of houserules! :D Guilty as charged :) I always create a house rule document for a new game, and as I GM it, the document grows. I love to read, create and revise rules, I can't help it, I'm addicted :D One thing I do, before adding a house rule, is to discu...

Well, since I want even a dagger or fist to be lethal, I also have a house rule that lets the target of a critical hit automatically roll a save vs massive damage, even if he was hit by a fist, if the target is unlucky, he'll roll a '1', though luck... The massive damage save works a little differen...

True, after reading this, I'll update my house rule so a thief must successfully use Finesse (DV+DR) to be able to add his sneak attack damage to his attack. Yeah, thats a pretty easy houserule. It will definitely shift the balance of the game a bit, though (generally making Thieves and Pirates qui...

This is basically what I do, but mine is even simpler. A thief must successfully finesse an armored opponent to get sneak attack damage. That seems very realistic to me. I have a house rule that increases the chance of higher damage for skillful (or lucky) fighters. It allows an attacker to reroll one damage die for each 10 points that he beats the DC with and gets to pick which one(s) to use. Example Fighter A uses a greatsword and attacks B, A rolls good, beating ...

Since sneak attack damage comes from the ability to attack vital areas on the target, like the heart, throat etc. I don't allow my players to use their sneak attack damage to penetrate armor. This is how I have house ruled sneak attack. If it is a finesse attack and it succeeds, roll damage as usual...
