Re: Will there be another Call to Arms?

Sad to read that ACTA is going to end.

I always loved Babylon 5 ACTA despite it's balancing problems and Priority Level system. I still play it on occassion with friends.

Perhaps ACTA could resurface as a standalone like Starmada with rules for custom ships and weapons.

Re: Game balance

B5 ACTA has a problem based on the priority system.
Splitting down Fleet allocation points is always better then to take larger ships.

Between the fleets there is an power imbalance, too.

Re: Campaign questions B5 ACTA

Good morning.

I've tried to set up the Campaign of Terror and got a question.
The rules tell that the defender gets a trategic target every turn. Is this additional to the one he targets duruing the initiative phase?

Any working B5 ship viewers left?

Hello,

I just wanted to play one or tow games of ACTA, but found that my files with ship sheeds were lost during the last crash.

Are there any ACTA 2nd Edition ship viewers left where I can get the lattest possible up to date sheets?

Thank you in advance for your help. 8)

Re: I'm getting sick of "Lumbering"

Lumbering was crap back in the B5 days and it is still crap in SF: ACTA.

Re: ACTA B5 versus new versions (Noble, star-fleet)

Does the new SF rules system allow to convert B5 ships over to it?

Starmada does even don't have their own universe.

Why don't sell ACTA with design rules so everybody can come up with own ships, settings etc?

I have many Gaim ships, where I don't know if I will be able to put them together any time this year.

AOG had 2 scales, the first was nthe same as Mongosse used. The 2nd was Fleet Action, where ship miniatures were very much smaller then the usual scale

I'm still playing ACTA ocassionally with a friend at the local gaming club here in Oberhausen. The great problem as mentioned before is that the lack of miniatures killed ACTA as nearly nobody wants counters or 3D cardboard models, thanks to the expensive licence fee Warner demanded. I'm looking int...

I had a game against a friends Brakiri and wondered why he outgunned me with his ships. His ships especially his Escorts had much more AD in his Secondaries when EA had, and his dozens of Fighters. The Starfuries made no big difference againts his hords of Falkosi. The Avioki sat back and sniped wit...

Ok, so I should stick my opponent to the In Serive dates so he has fewer choices.

Any ideas for 3rd Age EA as it is the usual fleet I play?
