Hunting Balvarins...

Or specifically a miniature for said ship.

Does anyone have one theyre looking to sell on, painted or otherwise?

Preferably full sized but FA would be acceptable too!

PM me if so!

One question though guys: Is 5 point war not pushing it a tad for a short tourney game (also a tad limiting on some folks who play fleets like Drazi etc and dont happen to have lots of the bigger Drazi ships etc) Only other thing Id say is I agree with Digger about the beam rules, yes the custom one...

As noted at that point Atlantis was running with one ZPM rather than the 3 it's supposed to have not to mention the fact that the ancients had/could make more as needed to replace them as the shields depleted them.

Well not liking Star Trek ships is rather a matter of personal taste as has already been touched on by alot of folks but given the number of ships and races I still find it hard to understand how anyone can hate them ALL and yet love so many more of the B5 Ships. Oh don't get me wrong, I prefer the ...

Fighters can attack as long as theyre within 2" range, the issue about numbers contacting the stem only really comes into it with suicide fighters (gaim and dilgar) or targets with stealth. And yes you can shoot at fighters in base contact with enemy SHIPS but not if theyre in contact with enemy fig...

AoG made a bunch of such 'joke' ships. The Narn Da'ga'ga'ga'ga'ga'ga'ga'kar was according to AOG named after the sound the centauri admiral made upon first spotting it :P Some other clasics they came up with: The Posseidonova. Take one Posseidon hull. Cover every square inch of it with big guns. The...

Sorry Digger but this is just not a good idea as it just adds more complexity to the moment rules. And for that matter why should a ship not be able to go back to full speed next turn. After all it can all stop after going all power to engines the previous turn. ACTA's movement system is very abstra...

1) The regular hyperion whilst good is in my eyes simply too fragile for raid level. The RAIL hyperion on the other hand is an absolute gem of a ship and should be used liberally!. 2) The Olympus gunship is a horrible ship but personally I would say the regular Olympus loaded with heavy missiles is ...

No no no sir, you misunderstand me! I was merely mentioning in passing that I still despise the stealth rules as though they are perfectly fair and balanced in my oppinion now they are excrementally un-fun to play with or against and are just reduce the game to a contest of lucky dice rolling a bit ...

Lets be honest though Burger, how likely, if we're honest, do you think it is that an Abbai player in their right mind is EVER going to field purchaced wings og Kothas, the most useless bucket ever to fly the skies ;) Ok it's not as bad now you at least get bazillions of them but still..... Ok. No. I completely agree with the above, I hadnt noticed the bit about the minaiture rather than the stem. All of a sudden folks using full size minis have an advantage over guys using FA scale or counters. For my part I personally use Liandras as Nolotars and vice versa since the Nolotar minis is...

We should probably first just test this as it is written, and report. We may then decide about the ramming rule becoming an aborted run, and report on that result. Our conclusions should come in the form of "Drazi underperform", "Drazi overperform", "Appears balanced", or the worst possible result,...

Holy Hannah, I hadn't thought of that I'd been leaning towards this being a bit scaremongery and folks overeacting but that's ludicrously broken. <<OUT OF CHEESE ERROR>> <<REDO FROM START>> Heres an alternate idea. 1) 6 ships is hideous and over the top. Change it so that they can only use the wolfp...

Have to agree that the new Whitestar SA isnt really that big a deal at first glance since the things are so manueverable anyway it's not likely to get much use with ONE small exception. Consider this. WS overuns target and then flies away full speed ending up say an inch or two from the table edge. ...

Is still maintain a better fix to the rule would be: Drazi ship makes its attack run and rolls CQ. If it passes it makes its attack rolls immediately. However if it fails it has missed it's attack run and cannot make any attacks this turn. It does NOT count as a ram, the drazi ship is simply placed ...

I would say the golden rule applies: You cant reroll a reroll so anything thats already been rerolled as per a beam or twin linke isnt subject to this rule. So it would be roll all AD Put reroll all hits cos of attack run and reroll all misses cos of twin linked. Second results stand in all cases. I...

Well I'm personally hoping as you say that the attack run thing wont go through as it is but even if it gets toned down somewhat I believe it will be rather nasty. Personally I'm of the oppinion that they should make it such that if the attack run fails it is NOT a free ram and the drazi ship just f...
