Yeah I believe they were going to move the timeline forward to accomodate it. I just thought they hadn't explored the current one enough. But i'll buy it if anything comes out either way. I still really want to read the novels, this thread inspired me to go back and read the first one again actually.

I didn't like the sound of it moving on to covering all the plaanets in the solar system etc. That was on the cards for any new printing if I recall correctly, but i'm willing to give anything a try. I didn't think they got to explore enough of the original setting though, so i'd prefer to see more ...

Best I heard only the first 2 had been written, and you are right, only the first one was ever released, but it was solely responsible for me getting into A:2089. Spoke to Matt yesterday, looks like IF A:2089 comes back it would be using the Traveller Ruleset. LBH I'm more interested in the novels ...

I know, there is a trilogy that is actually finished if I recall correctly, but it hasn't been released unfortunately. I was hoping that once the printer they bought had all the kinks out of it that they would print some up then but it never happened sadly. The second book was never released either ...

Hi guys, A2089 is indeed on the cards. PIck one or more of the following; 1. Novels 2. RPG (yes, probably Traveller based). 3. Miniatures game (we want to see a mecha game in the future, though it is also competing with another possibility here). These are what we are currently looking at. It won't...

Mongoose is kind of damned if they do, damned if they don't here :) If they make it expensive, people complain about the price, if they make it cheap, we complain it's not in colour etc. In a perfect world, both versions would be nice, but I think generally Mongoose does an exceptional job of lookin...

In a perfect world, both would be great, but looking at the books published so far it may be getting to the point where people have enough nation sourcebooks to run campaigns for the next 5 years or so. So adding more may not be financially viable (I have no idea whther it's true or not, just specul...

(on a personal note, I would like to see a collector's edition of the F series, all combined into a massive hardcover (and given a 2E make-over for a few minor points, such as the soldier multi-classes), but that may just be me. Some of my players use the F series books more than they do the core b...

I think the bigger problem may be that they have done the sourcebooks for the best known nations and maybe the lesser known ones won't sell as well. I'd be mor Respectfully, I disagree. Those of us that like/love/admire the game will buy the material because it is well-researched (hopefully) and pr...

Maps for VAS
Not sure if anyone is interested in these, but thought i'd post them and see. I was working on some maps for Battlefield Evolution and decided to try some sea based ones. If there is any interest in them I can try and work up some big printable ones maybe :) http://img215.imageshack.us/img215/4920/o...
