Re: Traveler miniature game

Sigh. I am an addict with at least 200 miniatures. Almost every fleet from star fleet battles. Most of the ships from noble armada. Some Babylon 5 ships. Most every micro machine space ship ever made. Then some oddballs. Then the game rules. Star fleet battles, full thrust, battlefleet gothic, nobl...

Re: Some painted fleets - Federation and Klingon

The Feds are very well done although I was wondering about the domes on the warp nacelles? They appear to be black in the photos, rather than the glowing red/orange they are typically done in. Are they not finished, or was that a deliberate choice for some reason? Other than that they look excellent...

Re: [ACTASF] Starline 2500 Status Update

Thanks for the update, Jean! I know I'll be ordering at least one of each of these as they become available, and multiples of a number of them! 2450 FEDERATION CAR: this is a 2500 rescaled to 1/3788. Release in September. 2450 KLINGON D7K: this is a 2500 rescaled to 1/3788. Release in September. I d...

Re: [ACTASF] Starline 2500 Orion Dreadnought

I don't like the Oroion ship design so no real interest - keeping my eye open for the Tholian and Lyran ships :) Fair enough. Personally, I'm more excited to see the Hydrans than either the Lyrans or Orions, but that's probably at least a year away so meanwhile I have plenty of time to work on Orio...

Wow! Has the ACTASF crew totally abondoned this forum? :(

I do like the look of the ship! I'm looking forward to the revised rulebook and the next wave of miniatures releases. :)

Re: News on A Call to Arms: Star Fleet!

- Last time manufacturing was moved stateside, it was a disaster IIRC. I'm just going to have to hope that doesn't repeat. Well, ADB has been making metal miniatures for SFB and FC for as long as the company has existed, so I'm fairly confident of their ability to manage the operation now. - Will w...

Re: Your preferred size for a Star Base miniature?

I'm not too hung up on the actual, numerical scale of the bases (given that a true in-scale base isn't really practical for most games). I'd just like them at least slightly larger than a dreadnaught size ship. 8)

Re: News on A Call to Arms: Star Fleet!

The 2500 MB will be dropped (use the 2425) because it looks just like the 2400 (now 2425) and is designed for resin, which we are eliminating. I would dispute this, as the 2500 model prototype shown by Mongoose (like every other 2500 model) has significant surface detail that the 2400 model lacks. ...

The rule books and supplements from ADB are available in this format (loose leaf, unpunched), too.

It does look like he has removed the "module" detail from both the Sparrowhawk and Skyhawk to make room for the wing decorations. :|

Re: News on A Call to Arms: Star Fleet!

riftsinger, this is what Steve wrote about the books: It would be reasonable to assume that Book 1.2 will be a print on demand black and white paperback, at least until sales prove that the investment of ten thousand dollars in hardback color books makes economic sense. Frankly, we'd rather do it a...

Re: News on A Call to Arms: Star Fleet!

The most controversial one I suspect will be "creating a new way to handle seeking weapons" - though I suspect only really controversial between matt and ADB. I don't know what is being considered here but Matts original idea to make them direct fire was, I think it must be agreed, a brave and nobl...
