If you want a fluff excuse, you could assume that once the ship is clear of the firefight, the C&C can seal down the affected areas and just vent the atmosphere. The toughest boarders in the universe will be a lot less scary after a close encounter with vacuum. I think that is about as accur...

I prefer the Omelos, more front firepower and it's agile. Both are good but I'd use the Omelos more than the Targrath. My main Dilgar ships are: the Ochlavita (5 minimum, 10 is better) the Omelos (3 minimum, 5 is better) and several Jashakar (You have the minimum, but more is better!) Even though i...

I come from the more options is better school of thought and try to have more than my earlier limits, especially at the lower levels. Of course I also make sure I have at least one of every ship for a fleet as well, even if they don't play well. I like to have them available to me. I find it is a f...

I find the Olympus and Artemis, and then later the Chronos, to do exactly what I need them to do. They are fragile ships, and races with too many beam weapons will eat them for lunch.

Re: ACTA & Fleet Action?

I was just curious if anyone has tried to splice these two games together. ACTA is built well, but IMHO they took the balancing to far. I understand why, they use FAP which isn't the same as a point based system. Lets be honest though, the B5 universe isn't balanced. A Sharlin Warcruiser could turn...

Re: Number of ships in your fleets

So I'm thinking, 8/8/5/5/5/2 are good to have and shoot for if you want to pick up a fleet that you will be able to use in the future and still be able to have some variety in it and not be completely predictable. I guess as an addendum... it matters what you typically play with. I find 5 points of...

Well here is what I did... Each of the 4 main factions I have 20 points of Battle for, with a slant towards Earth and Centuari as they are my favorite factions from the TV show. The idea was to be able to support 2 players per faction in a prolonged campaign (10 points of Battle each). I have also b...

as much as i'd love to have G'quans and Bin'Taks in my list it just isn't worth it. you taking a 'G'Vrann every time from what i can read and i'll usually be taking two Var'Nic in place of a G'quan too. Same here. I would drop a T'Loth as well, if it was not for the T'Rann variant. I usually take a...

Jason, those look like fun. Good luck and have fun. Speaking of shot-down Skyhooks, were you aware of the Mongoose Skyhook model that Matt is selling off? Well I had heard they were going to clear out everything - so I assumed that would be amongst the lot. I will mention it to my players, we have ...

I think it is great that Mongoose has the rights. I hope that Traveller comes back to stay, before most of my friends ever got distracted by D&D and 40K this was the game. The various itterations over the years (T, MT, TNE), expecially the last ten (T4, GT, D20T and original reprints), have made it ...
