Terrain pics.

Just happened to run across this one. These photos were part of the 'case study' portion of a mil school I went to. Look at some of the buildings in the background, espescially with the last photos. If someone wouldnt mind crossposting this at EvoCommand I'd appreciate it... they sort of have it blo...

I stuck with the same scale, but picked up some 20mm taliban from http://www.figuresarmourartilleryusa.com/ the technicals are a little bit bigger, and the models chunkier, but the same height overall.

Back when a box of 30 beaky marines could be posed however you wanted, and didn't cost you supper for a week...

A full squad of units already existing being made in metal is a little much in my opinion, too much to paint.
But again, support, and mod options, that would be awesome.

Thats what I took from it as well Lorcan. And I for one am pleased that at least that much is being done. It shows a commitment to providing us with something during this long cold winter (Late 2008) we're facing. While I sympathize with those who brought up the lack of time/motivation when it comes...

Thank you, and one thing I thought worked out nicely was that it makes use of the kills score for unarmored models.

Suppression House Rule idea

Ran a game at a local con Saturday, and found myself questioning the supression rule after an EFTF Harrier II dropped a bomb on two Technicals and a pair of Fedayeen squads. Out of the 6 models in one of the Fedayeen squads. D8 damage dice were rolled. Results were 1,3,4,7,7,8 Three outright Kills, ...

Rounds that routiely go through walls and into unseen areas are more often than not viewed as 'less desireable' as noncombatants and lord knows what else may be on the other side.... check out youtube, do a search of "concealment does not equal cover" or something like that. It's a 2 part video, abo...

I do recall an old acquaintance who was ADA stated that he had participated in the Stinger trials for use with the MANPADs (95,6?). Three things of note. Heat sources didn't need to be much. Hobby shops provided most of their practice targets (the flying model aircraft with the little gas engines). ...

Releasing a SAM with no locked target, if even possible, is just like letting off a big bottle rocket... They don't fly where you want them to.

In fact most AA missiles don't fly in a straight line, they arc.

PLA might be coming into their own.

Quoting Shotgun-Toting Chipmunk quoting himself... Quote: Some thoughts: Now for the PLA you can use the same tactic, but here's where the PLA get something nice: The EQ2050 costs 60pts, and you can use two for a single support slot (according to my playtest stats). Now you can essentially deny airs...

Actually you would have 8 points of supression... the 3's still count even though they did not reach the target/kill score. Think of it as lead 'snapping' over the troops heads making them rethink some of their decisions in life. This is further illustrated in the Adv Rulebook with a photo of 8 EFTF...

USMC weapons pack: including two M32 gunners to replace the standard Machine Gunner. A Corpsman, Dedicated marksman, Rif...

I seem to remember reading an article in the Stars & Stripes, back in mid '03, about US troops who were assigned AK47's as their duty weapons... It turns out they were tankers, but their units mission called for HMMWV and foot patrols of their AOR (Northern Iraq, possibly Mosul IIRC). So these tanks...
