I don't mind that Mongoose is updating the print copies as they go. The problems though are a) having an update so soon after release is annoying to those who pre-order and b) why is the new data still not available to download?

I was confused by the new rule as well. So any plane with spotters automaticlly gets the bonus or there is no spotter bonus anymore?

I think 1" or 1 1/4" would probably do it even when based on something 1/8" thick. If you did have the odd tall mini (like maybe a trawler?) you could also place it on its side.

I do something similar that I think looks a bit better and is probably easier. I use 1 1/4" wood circle bases and drill about a 1/8" hole (basically just eyeball your bundle of wire) in the center. I then run various lengths (about 2") of 1/32" brass wire out from it and bend them out. So from the s...

Interesting discussion. The Warstore, another online retailer I use, and two local shops all do not carry B5:ACTA products (minis at least) anymore and are simply selling off any remaining stock. I can understand growing pains and other issues but I hope this gets resolved soon. I placed a direct or...

I like it. It's also one of my favorite ships so I am happy to see it getting redone.

Speaking of the Olympus, does anyone know if the new, smaller, two pack is what is generally available now when you order from stores? I'd hate to order some just to get more of the old ones.

You guys can thank me for the second edition. I just bought everything about a year ago so of course there is a new edition. It does look good though.

Yeah the crew damage rules seem fine to us as well. Normally they are not an issue but a raging fire will toast your crew up pretty fast!

GHQ (www.ghqmodels.com). 1/1200 CAP Aero used to be my aircraft of choice but I recently discovered the plastic 1/600 stuff and really like it (actually thanks to one of the chaps around here). Cheap, look great, and they even come with decals! I base all my stuff on custom plywood bases from Litko ...

The ship doesn't pivot at the center but the bow swings left or right (or maybe it's the stern I don't have it with me now). The arrow and big circle on the template indicate this. The template is the same for all ships so all ships turn the same. Different turn radii are allowed for by the number o...

If I remember correctly the first turn on the template is 1" and the others 3/4" (or is it 3/4" and 1/2"?). Anyway, just grab the corner of the unit and swing the tail around that much. No need to mess with the turn template at all.
