My advice.
Don't get back into miniatures.
We've all seen where that has lead in the past. I have a pile of SST and BF Evo miniatures to prove it.

Have SST -- Want BF Evo Modern
I have a large number of SST minis both painted and unpainted.
I would like to trade them for BF Evo Modern minis.
I'm interested in EFTF, USMC or MEA.
If you're interested please contact me at k.portner@verizon.net (I"m in the USA). Thanks.

Are there any new Rules in the New Rules?
I bought the original BF Evo Modern rules.
I bought the World at War Rules.
Are there any new rules in the BF Evo Modern 2nd Edition (or whatever it's called)? I don't mean new unit profiles, I mean new rules.
Thank you.

Question Re British (and others?) MMG & Mortar Crews
The British 3" mortar unit has 3 models, one with mortar, two with Lee-Enfield. The Vickers MMG has 3 figures, one with Vickers MMG, two with Lee-Enfield Rifles. Can the figures with the rifles shoot at the same time the mortar/MMG are shooting? Or do the rifles have to assist in firing the MMG/mort...

One more Tank Assault Question
I believe the rules say "each member of the unit" has explosives/grenades, so I assume this means that every model that gets within 1" of a tank can attack it (at the end of the attacker's next turn) with a D10. Is that right?

Tank Assault rule encourages suicide bombing?
Since the explosives don't go off until the charging unit's next turn, doesn't this encourage the vehicle to drive up to the enemy so that it can catch them in its lethal zone?
What is the thinking behind delaying the detonation until the following turn?

Well if you are not in a firing position then you have to move to get there don't you? And if you are already there then you can be spotted by anything. I'm not sure this is correct. IIRC, the rules say that you can only be spotted at one of those firing points if you've used it to fire out (and wh...

Really? Can't you just lay down a suppression marker on the building face or whatever method you use to keep track of unit suppressions. Just lay down a marker if you would have suppressed the unit if all models could be targeted, seems pretty simple to me. Yes, but now you're keeping track of whic...

The problem with using current rules is that a unit would have to make an action to take up firing positions, possibly allowing reaction fire first and MG's can't be set up to prone. Allowing them a possibility of being hidden does help immensly. I guess I don't read the rules that way. Does it say...

After posting the above I had another thought, sort of middle-ground compromise. You have suppression as currently written and if you do cause enough suppression including those out of sight then that side of the terrain piece becomes suppressed instead of the target. This means that the unit could...

Matt, Does that open up the possibility that the target can manipulate the dice to avoid suppression? (i.e. the target applies auto weapon's dice to models within 3" of the fire point and thus doubles up with the non-auto weapons?) It is the attacker's choice which FZ he rolls for first, so the adv...

Normal shooting. In an attacker defender situations, the defenders can be picked on piecemeal and the attackers know exactly where the enemy is which is not very realistic. In our game the Germans had to get to the bridge and blow it before the British tanks arrived. Because the defending British w...

The question is there anything special about how you handle a shoot action where the unit is firing weapons with different fire zones. (e.g. , 3" zone for bolt action rifles and 6" zone for squad leader's smg). I assume that you don't simply lump all the dice together but that instead the rifles ca...

Personally I think it's metagaming, and I don't like that - I can accept it, but I don't like it as to me it is cheesy! :) As far as I'm concerned, if I can suppress a unit of 10 men, but can't suppress the same 10 men just because one of them happens to be in the toilet (i.e. out of sight) doesn't...

So while we have your attention, what about the question of a unit firing weapons with different fire zones (i.e. 3" zone bolt action rifles and a 6" auto lmg)? Has this been answered some where and I"m just missing it? Sorry, what was the question? Was it dice allocation between different FZs? Mat...

No, it forces you to use different tactics. 8) Like assaulting with two sections against one -- since you can only react once. It SHOULD be hard to root out entrenched infantry, right? Personally I think it's metagaming, and I don't like that - I can accept it, but I don't like it as to me it is ch...
