Re: assembly instructions?

Don't think so. There might've been a sheet in the original box set but I can't remember.

But try this - it should help. http://theminiaturespage.com/workbench/15130/

Re: What figure should he get?

Cheeky! :D Ok, so what are his outgoings (not personal living expenses, but upkeep and maintenance, staff costs, energy/fuel bills and insurance, etc) on that? When you've got his net income sorted out, go through the suggestions above and make a single concept model for working out how much he can ...

Re: The loss of Dredd License - what does it mean?

I gather another company bought the moulds for JD figures like Citi-Def and cultists that were generic in appearance rather than clearly 2000AD. Anyone know of which company it is, I think its a US one? Rebel minis in the US have bought Mongoose moulds for other ranges. I'm only guessing, but they'...

Re: BF:E Errata

I did consider a 'heavy armour' trait that would allow tanks and heavily armoured vehicles to re-roll a failed save against some weapons (Mg's, HMG's, artillery and autocannon up to 30/35mm) which might do the trick.

Re: BF:E Errata

Just to put it out there, I seem to recall hearing about an Abrams that was taken out (that is 'taken out', mobility only) by a single 23mm round in Iraq... I've seen a few posts that mention a 23mm round hitting an Abrams through the rear grille and stopping it (presumably a mobility kill, possibl...

Re: BF:E Errata

There is a huge problem with the rules which you kind of highlighted with the increased capabilities of the .50 cal. The armour penetration and weapon performance is somewhat unrealistic. Consider an M1 Abrams - if a .50 cal rolls a d8, then it could knock it out (with 4 hits, I'll grant you), strai...

Re: BF:E Errata

The MEA works better as an Afghan list, but it could work fairly well as ISIS. Humvees would be a definite possibility, as would be M113 APC's and T-72's. Not sure I'd go as far as M1's though - ISIS have destroyed several Iraqi M1's, but as far as I'm aware, have yet to capture any (They'd be the f...

Re: Mars Preparation Question

As to the subsequent questions. Go and read David Weber's 'Dahak' trilogy and James P Hogan's 'Giants' series - between them you should be able to develop thousands of plot hooks and campaigns that should keep you going for a good while.

Re: A more challenging fleet?

So this friends' PC's have installed themselves as the Goa'uld equivalent, with a fleet of obedient Jaffa equivalents? I'm sure nothing can possibly go wrong with that concept, sounds like a game-winning strategy to me! The problem with scaling-up is that you will be continually in an arms...

Re: The Imperial Church

For starships, I would have thought they'd appoint a chaplain. Possibly, starports as well. Yes, that is a good possibility - it really all depends on the setting and the interpretation of the church's role really. Certainly, I think that the terms are pretty much interchangeable - all Chaplains wo...

Re: The Imperial Church

What's the proportion of priests to parishioners? It would depend on the parish - usually they would be of a fixed geographical area, but could equally be a starship, a space station or a series of belt habitats. If a parish had a lot of parishioners, it would be more common to enlarge the place of...

Re: The Imperial Church

The Priest will be the most senior church official of the parish, usually assisted by assistant priests or vicars; one Dean or Archpriest will be in charge of a group of fixed parishes, in addition to his own parish, which would likely cover a continent or country (but could conceivably be an entire...

One other thing to remember is that one variant of the Gozanti, the Escort Cruiser, will have 4 docking clamps for Tie series fighters.

Re: The neighborhood is a little more crowded

Big problem with a lifeless universe would be no fossil fuels both for energy and other products plus habitation whether or not for mineral exploitation. Although we can be quite certain that the majority of hydrocarbons on Earth were as a result of biological deposition (hence - fossil fuel), it s...

Re: The Invasion Begins: an unofficial Andromedan discussion

Sorry for asking this so late, but... any ideas on the Intruder stats? BTW, has anyone tried this rules? I would like to try them but only if someone is still interested. I suppose ACTA SF died too early to have a dedicated fan base. No, I don't think anyone is still interested over here. It's not ...

Re: BF:E Errata

I agree that the 'One-Shot' rule should be dropped from every man-portable weapon in the game, to be replaced with 'slow' in the case of a reloaded launcher - all Infantry teams carry reloads, with more in their transport vehicle. I can't think of a single case where an entire weapon is discarded af...

Re: Amended British List for BF Evo

I would question the substitution of the Sultan for the 1st Command Team - the Recce Troop commander (Lt) would be in one of the 4 (or 5) Spartan's in the Recce Troop - the Squadron Commander would be in a Sultan, in which case he would be a higher level command asset not the only command team on th...

Re: Logistics in the Pacific during WW2

One question is who pays for the meson sites? I think it would be local economy which means, to me, local TL tech support and local credits for builds and maintenance. The Rim might be the historical birthplace of the meson gun as Condottiere points out, but I suggest not every place seems to have ...

Re: Logistics in the Pacific during WW2

A system might feel the need if the geography of the Main made it necessary for a system to have a very strong defense. It may not even be a system level decision, but could be way up the chain geographically. The Central Navy command analyses the trade and travel patterns and decides system X is a...
