Re: Hoping For New Legend Books In 2017

Is there news on any of this? We are now in June, so its 6 months. Alex Green and Solatask had Legend books with Mongoose so is there news on what is happening with them?

Re: Hoping For New Legend Books In 2017

I wouldn't hold your breath. The "State of the Mongoose" is all about Traveller and Paranoia, no mention of Legend. Yes, no mention of anything but Traveler and Paranoia. I think unless this changes and Mongoose publishes new books soon, then Legend is going to be moribund like Runequest was in the...

Re: Does Mongoose have any plans for Legend?

I suspect you are right Damonjynx, and it is simply not cost effective for Mongoose to devote time to Legend titles. This is obvious and understandable. But my grumble is that Matt did not say so in the State of Nation address, which is a bit hard on the patient Legend fans. Yet when I asked the que...

Re: Does Mongoose have any plans for Legend?

Matt has said there is a lot he wants to do with Legend, but there are too many other priorities, like Traveler and Paranoia, to make any plans right now. It is something I suppose, but it is a shame it was not made mention of in the State of the Nation address. I think it is a shame that there are ...

Re: State of the Mongoose 2016

Legend books are indeed in the queue - as soon as we have some free time, we'll slot them in and get them out to you chaps! Which is good news, but the same news you said in October on the Legend forum. Why did you not give more detail in the State of the Nation? What is the Legend plan? How will t...

Re: Does Mongoose have any plans for Legend?

There is no mention at all of Legend in the Mongoose State of the Nation from Matt. I have asked if there is a plan, what the plan is over on the General Discussion part and I hope Matt will tell us what's going to happen with the books that are meant to be in a queue to be published. There is a lot...

Re: State of the Mongoose 2016

Without being too contentious, I think that much of Legend's fanbase has gravitated over with The Design Mechanism's Mythras Yes, I have some of the Mythras books myself. It has been said on the Legend board though that there are several Legend books in the works. It puzzles me and saddens me that ...

Re: State of the Mongoose 2016

Why no mentioned of Legend? Lots of Traveler, lots of Paranoia but no mentions of Legend. You have said there are Legend books in the works but curious there isn't mention of them in the State of the Nation address. Have the plans changed?

Re: Mythology in Legend

Hi everybody, I was just wondering myself if any add-on (official or not) exists to add or adapt classic human mythologies in Legend (Greek, roman, egyptian, ...), or any game-system compatible with it. Do you know something I could use ? Theres a Roman book for Mithras (which is like Legend by the...

Re: Homebrew Settings Discussion

Our setting is a really cool one. We have this old empire that was defeated by the barbarians when itgot too old and decedent. Most of the old empire was old and corrupt and the barbarians had some help from traitors inside the old empire who were sick of the cruelty. Theres now this power vacuum be...

Re: Forthcoming Scenario Book

There is an Orbis Terrarum internet site and another on Face Book. Link for the internet site? I don't use farcebook. Converting the adventures to Legend should not be too hard, though some of the magic system of Heart's fire might need a bit of work. So this is its own system then? what has it in ...

Re: Creature of the Week - Death Bull on DTRPG

I don't see where the AP is listed as 6 when the natural armour is 2. I updated some of the information on the pdf, the horn attack is included in the weapons section of the pdf and uses the Unarmed skill. Thank you. I was sure I saw 6 in the preview. No matter. Strike Rank is calculated by adding ...

Re: Creature of the Week - Death Bull on DTRPG

I just checked the file and there are combat styles listed under the skills section. Yes this is an original creation that does not reflect any previously published monsters. Ah yes I see it now. Thank you. I think this is an interesting monster and it will be interesting for a player in my homebre...

Re: Creature of the Week - Death Bull on DTRPG

I got the Monster Colliseum book cheap on Amazon and I think this is the same as the Creatures of Legend book. Is there any reason why the Undeath Minotaur has some really different stats to the Creatures of Legend book? I'm only looking at the preview on Drivethru, but I also see there is not a lis...

Re: Mythical Britain

The last couple of scenarios have the option for introducing some really mythical elements to the campaign. And even though it's a campaign with a strong story, it isn't railroaded, allowing several outcomes for most of the scenarios. The only thing to be noted is, that the campaign doesn't finish ...

Re: Mythical Britain

I took one for the team and bought the pdf. I played Pendragon on my freshman year and thought it was okay. I don't think we played it right because we were more 3.5 players looking for something different and we didn't get some of the things like having entire families, but it was enjoyable and dif...
