Spaceships: Armaments and The Death Star's OTHER Fatal Flaw Everyone knows that the Death Star had a critical weakness which allowed the Rebels to win, but was there ANOTHER one that would have finished it off well before that? This FUTURISTIC WHEEL can change shape

I'm going with supposition that if only for cost reasons, wheeled vehicles are still going to be used, though the wheel itself may be reinvented.

Re: Can they legally do this?

It's very dependent on the local law level and cultural norms.

I would suspect that a twelve year old on a frontier world could get hold of a hunting rifle, no questions asked.

Re: Would it be a war-crime?

You need a recognized entity that recognizes these as war crimes and is prepared to prosecute the culprits. The Russians have shot down any number of civilian planes, though in the last instance, have made the effort to hide their trac(tor)s, since unlike the United States, sanctions do have an effe...

Canvas covered exoskeleton.

Even civilian ones are likely to be armoured, considering OSHA, and the likely roles and work conditions they would be used in.

Spaceships/stations: What's the Most Realistic Artificial Gravity in Sci-Fi? | Space Time | PBS Digital Studios 2001: A Space Odyssey introduced a lot of people to the idea of rotation based artificial gravity, but in sci-fi, it’s far from the only one to implement the idea! Babylon 5, Halo, and Ri...

Re: How would the people that remembered cope?

Unconditional surrender would ensure Germany will get divided, and the industrial might of the Allies made defeat a certainty. If Rommel had known the details of Operation Overlord, had managed to resurrect the Luftwaffe to deny Allied bombers the access to eventually atomic bomb Berlin, and stalema...
