Re: What is "canon" these days?

GURPS was the first iteration of that option, that there can be multiple timelines, especially if either the players or the dungeon master disagreed with how the current or previous edition(s) was (were) presenting it.

Re: Solomani Confederation (Military)

Confederation Navy: Cruiser Gap 1. The Confederation Navy labels almost every jump capable ship as a cruiser variant, so that capability gap isn'y publicly obvious, and even foreign intelligence agencies have trouble keeping track. 2. Fast dreadnoughts are colloquially known as battle cruisers, a c...

Maybe because I spent a lot of time designing spaceships I understand that design sequence, but it isn't intuitive in Tee Five.

External inflatable fuel bladders are probably more viable and closer to the hydrogen turbines.

Re: Ship's Locker: Out of the Closet

Not quite; the roman candle approach means the ammunition is preloaded and preselected. At default, it's a single barrel shotgun, that without converging barrels should increase accuracy anywhere along the flight path, and you pick which shell or bullet is loaded. With a battery attachment, at four ...

Re: Lion air, B-737 and "AI" again.

Checks and balances, plus incompetence and parochial interests, something our North Americans cousins should be feeling particularly sensitive about now. 1. They needed a competitive solution to Airbus offerings. 2. All things being and remaining equal, shifting the centre of gravity doesn't turn ou...

Ammunition: Twelve Gauge Since we're on the subject of survival guns. I thought the simplest though not necessarily the lightest and smallest, has to be a single barrel shotgun, with barrel sleeves to accept any su eighteen millimetre calibre. That had me thinking, that you could stuff in three nin...

Re: Drone blast from the blast

Still takes fuel to move a satellite.

Hunter killer satellites tend to be one shot missions, expensive reconnaissance ones aren't moved unless the information is considered critical.

However, the Air Force has been sending up it's spaceplane drone, possibly doing maintenance and refuelling.

Re: Drone blast from the blast

All you need is a satellite with sensitive enough equipment.

The difference is that unless you expend limited fuel resources, satellites have a known orbit, whereas reconnaissance vehicles can be discretely inserted.

Bribery may be the cost of doing business, in whatever form it takes, including political lobbying and campaign contributions.

Or scholarships or corporate positions for some relatives.

Re: The Armed Packet

1. Airlocks, depends on what you're transferring; one principally for cargo would be located and configured differently for than one for passengers.

2. Spaceship accommodations, depends on status and expected length of occupancy; well thought out barracks might be better than a large storeroom.
