This is really good news Matt :-) I had a brief play with the Victory on the River before our house move, and now that we are getting settled I am looking forward to getting this nice updated version of Mr Manley's rules. As an addendum, I'm finally getting the time to finish my own "mod" of VAS AOD...

How good are the fleet lists in regards to pre-dread era ships? As this is the era that I'm really interested in gaming. Not to say dreads won't ever grace our table, but I've always had a big interest in the 1904-05 Russia Japan war, and an itch to have fleets of armored cruisers and pre dreads. (...

Here is my brief analysis of how to work out some ship stats:- Speed = Speed in Knots divided by 4 and rounded UP to the nearest whole number. E.g. 20kts = 5", 21kts =6", 25kts = 7". Turn = 3 I can't find anything that does any different number, but the "Agile" trait can beapplied to destroyers and ...
