Goodbye Mongoose!

Well, this forum is going to close next week, so I guess it is time for some of us to say goodbye to Mongoose Publishing. Not that I'm mad about what is happening with the LW line: I'm disappointed, but I have the feeling that it is not Mongoose's decision to end the production of the LW brand. Ther...

Re: So ... Book 18?

So, Mongoose drops the LW line. Will we ever see the ending of the series? From what I understand, the German publisher (Mantikore-Verlag) has been told to continue publishing the series, with their own bonus adventures and more editorial freedom. That was announced Monday, nearly four days before t...

Re: So ... Book 18?

True! I can't find any LW stuff on the website!

But since this forum is still open and that there was no new announcement, I guess it will reappear shortly... Well, I hope so! :?

Re: Lone Wolf Mega Deal

Well, Mongoose is not exactly responsible for the video game being delayed, although Joe confirmed that it will... I mean, THEY will come out soon. Recently in Germany, he confirmed that a few games will come out for iPads.

Re: Lone Wolf Mega Deal

Also, you have to consider that the 4 novels remaining in total (2 in both Trilogies) are not planned whatsoever. Both series seemed to be canned by Mongoose.

Re: So ... Book 18?

My question is:

Will the book be delayed now that Pascal Quidault has announced that he will not work for Mongoose anymore? He did some work for book 18 but I seem to understand that it will not be used. Who's going to replace him?

(Okay, that was two questions)

Re: Lone Wolf 17... Is In!

Yes, yes you're right. If Joe ever wants the fans to know about it, he'll make an announcement himself (like he did for his kidney cancer back in 2005). I wish him good luck, whatever the problem is. :)

Ok, but that just sounds like a confirmation that something is wrong if Mister Dever told you what he wanted regarding the "potential health issue". :?

Re: Summarized errata to the books and mini-adventures

In book 16 bonus adventure, in the rules section, it is said that someone who have played the previous adventure of the Dire can carry over his stats, adding 5 to his Endurance score. For those that have not played the previous adventure, they must pick a number on the Random Number Table and then a...

Same here. Strange that it took so long to get just north of the border though... :?

Okay, now, when can we expect book 18 (and maybe 29 too)? :P

Book 30: Dead in the Deep?

Ok, I'll try to make a short story of what this is all about. Since February 4, the Wikipedia page of Joe Dever shows that Book 30 of the LW series is named "Dead in the Deep". -> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Dever#Lone_Wolf The user who posted that info is only known by his/her IP address. -> h...

Re: Legends of Lone Wolf News

From what I know, this is an updated version of another updated version (read: a 3rd version). The first version was the one published in the 80-90s, the second is an updated version that was published by an Italian publisher (only for the Italian market) during the 2000s and this new 2011 version i...

Back at the old Tower of the Sun website, we did created a calendar, which had exactly the same structure than our Gregorian calendar. However, the names were different: Sunday: Sowilo Monday: Manad Tuesday: Tiwas Wednesday: Moivik Thursday: Thurisas Friday: Fehu Saturday: Laugar January: Ingwas Feb...

Re: The Lone Wolf Mega-Deals are Back!

Hang on. Don't put words in my mouth, please. I already have a lot of them in there. :) I won't speak for Richard Ford; he's a great guy and can do that himself. But what I will do is explain exactly where I am in the novel process. All three books are written. Sand and Sorrow was sent in for edits...

Re: The Lone Wolf Mega-Deals are Back!

You're not being 'denied swag', you're receiving what you signed up for at the time. Mongoose are free to offer similar/different deals whenever they want. Also, the original deal in 2005 included all 6 books in the two novel trilogies Dragons of Lencia/Rise of the Agarashi, which isn't something t...

Re: The Lone Wolf Mega-Deals are Back!

Cool! Except that... I registered for the Magnamund Mega-Deal when it was first announced (which was, like, nearly 4 years ago?). We were promised every books listed in this new iteration, except the LWMPGB books, but we were told that we would get something "special" (there was once talks about a S...

Re: Stornlands supplement

Stornlands has indeed been devided into two books, the second one coming in February, because the original supplement was considered too big to fit into one book. I don't know if you'll also get Stornlands II if you have preordered the original supplement, but at least you'll get the first one.
