Re: Sheoloth: Legend conversion (Completed - now in editing)
@strega: I believe like in any human craft there is room for creators to evolve and eventually surpass their teachers..but thats a discussion for another thread perhaps. Like Matt said, why not try to venture in to other directions? Fans of both genres will get the books and if you don't like them a...

Re: Sheoloth: Legend conversion (Completed - now in editing)
@auyl: +1 @Strega:But High fantasy doesn't have to mean Tolkien or D&D, its about the world and the story and the races could reflect that in many new ways. The Sword of Truth series are also high fantasy. Most of Guy Gavriel Kay's work too.His worlds have epic stories yet are vastly different to el...

Re: Sheoloth: Legend conversion (Completed - now in editing)
Some nice stuff here. The way I see it (even though I am not experienced with the system yet) Legend CAN provide an alternative to d20 systems by being unique. Think of D&D as the original Battlestar Galactica and Legend the Reimagined series. Same genre for the most part, but entirely new 'feel'. S...

Re: Legend Setting
I just hope that it doesn't only cater to the Sword & Sorcery fans as there is already enough (imo anyway) material to cover that in all the D100 family.
I would appreaciate something more High Fantasy or the middle ground between those two
Keep up the good work in any case!

@Alex and Damon
I forgot to mention one of the collaborators: Jim Abbott. My apologies for that.
Theres really good stuff in there, only reason I wont use it as our first Legend session is because I am keeping it for a special episode of sorts that fits a little later in time.

Re: Running Wraith Recon with Legend ?
My only question is if I can generate a character with the core Legend rules and then equip her with the Wraith Recon equipment and use for an adventure...If that would make sense. I guess we ll have to see :) Simple answer: yes. Wraith Recon was adapted for MRQII by Pete Nash one of the authors of...

The Wolf wrote:For my d20 money, and one of the easiest things to convert to Legend for me is 13th Age. But I can't talk too much about that, since I'm ... under NDA
Wraith Recon has always been of interest to me though, I like the ideas.

Re: Running Wraith Recon with Legend ?
Mach5RR thanks :) I know WR is not about assassins, but there might be some equipment and tactics I could use as the Guild in question from my setting uses strike teams etc. As far as 4th edition is concerned I think it tries to do what you are describing but like many D&D versions is so clunky and ...

Re: can I say hi here?
Hi and welcome. As another newbie to the system let me just say that you are indeed in good hands with the folks here. Only thing I can add is if you can get the Age of Treason books ( Age of Treason: The Iron Simulacrum and Age of Treason: The Iron Companion) not only is their latest version a Lege...

Re: Running Wraith Recon with Legend ?
Well I'm not interested that much in the setting(unless its for a one off) but maybe the tools provided will suit me.Especially in the aforementioned assassin team adventure that I have in mind. Well cinematic could refer to anything if we take it means ''reminiscent of a technique used in cinematog...

Re: Running Wraith Recon with Legend ?
The Wraith Recon book published for Mongoose Runequest II is compatible with Legend - indeed, some of the content is reprinted in Arcania of Legend: Blood Magic. It would be great if some of the other spells and magic items from the Wraith Recon books turn up in future Arcania of Legend releases Yo...

Running Wraith Recon with Legend ?
Hello again everyone. Its been a while since I directed a question at the forums here.. I still haven't played a session with Legend but I am much more familiar with the system now that I ve been reading most of the books. I will GM our first group go at the system this January and I ve been looking...

Re: Solo Adventures
So I got 'Firerock Pass' from Auxo Games. When I typed solo adventures I assumed it meant one GM - one player, but this one is a kind of gamebook,GMless.
But seeing its structure and the fact that its MRQI I believe I'll have no problems adjusting to Legend for a player/GM format

Re: Invisibility Spell
It might not have fitted the ethos of RQ I and II, but there are different games now, and Legend is one of them - with a whole different ethos all of its own. An ethos determined by the Games Master and, if it is fitting and enjoyable, shared by the players. Legend doesn't have to be all Boris Vall...

Apologies if this has been discussed before in some other thread I couldn't find.
Any solo adventures for Legend out there you would recommend?
Cheers

Re: Elric & Legend
Personally, I wouldn't bother. Just use what you have. If you have neither, go with Legend. There is not that much of a difference and for the extra cash.... I picked up the Legend hardcopy at Dragonmeet in the UK a couple of years back for a tenner, more on a whim than anything else, although it w...
