SFU Query: Gunnery deck on the Federation battlecruiser

A friend and I were chatting, and the question of the gunnery deck on the battlecruiser came up. I hope I'm not misnaming it. In case I am, I'm referring to the thickening of the neck at its junction with the secondary hull. Two things about it struck me. First, I wondered what is there. I think it'...

Re: uk stockest

If you want the full line - go though Mongoose direct - As Kronos said IGUK and leisure Games are another good online bet - Also try Wayland Games. Not seen much of the line in brick and mortar FLGS  beyond the rulebook. I wouldn't rely on Wayland. Although their website suggests they stock i...

Re: Where did ACTA:Star Fleet go!

There's an announcement up on Facebook . Here's an excerpt, with the most relevant bit of the excerpt highlighted. The Starline 2500 range will continue and expand. Mongoose will remain the primary designer of new ship models, but ADB will be responsible for production, marketing, sales, and qualit...

Re: Information Points

Aye, they're the sort of thing that is useful in narrative scenarios or campaigns, but they don't have any impact in stand-up fights. They're used in the victory conditions for the scenarios Explore a Strange New World on p.29 of the rulebook and Recon Run on p.30.

Re: Is ACTA SF a good analog for SFB or FC?

For what it's worth, my response to the Klingon front shields has been to adopt an Admiral Farragut mentality, and charge right down their throats. My brother generally prefers the Klingons because of their range advantage, but we usually play on a 4' by 4' board (4' by 6' at most), with a 6" deploy...

Re: [ACTA:SF] There is a need for more Call out Notes

If you have three Feds, say, against the Klingons, then they cannot all have their fore shields against you. I know I just fling everybody forward against the chaps, and thereby perforate their defensive screen. I had great fun with some Fast ships lately.

Happy to report the cruiser and destroyer are both now painted. I'm quite pleased with how she's turned out.

Thankee. I dropped SVC a line, too, and he said it'd be ok. It's not yet painted, but here's how it looks assembled. I have used the CA saucer and neck, a DNG warp nacelle, and an FFB's deflector dish.

Re: Where are all the pics of painted minis? SF

I've assembled (but have yet to paint up) a conversion of a Saladin DD (disc and neck from a CA, deflector dish from FFB, warp nacelle from a DNG). Will it be ok for me to post it here once it's complete or will copyright issues prevent it?
