Re: Your preferred size for a Star Base miniature?

Actually, according to the Technical Manual, you can dock a heavy cruiser, a destroyer/scout, and a transport/tug in there at the same time.

Re: News on A Call to Arms: Star Fleet!

I would go with a B&W rulebook, cause I would also want the PDF for portability.

Re: Rules questions (Errata?)

The new Scout rules are in ACTA Journal #1. Escorts and other new ships (such as the revised New Jersey class Battlecruiser) are in Fleet Update #1, and Dreadnought variants and other ships are in Fleet Update #2. IIRC, ACTA Journal you have to pay for the download, the others are free.

They will also be useful when some of the monster scenarios get converted to ACTA from FC.

Here's hoping that SVC and the rest of the ADB gang can hold Matt's feet to the fire and get ACTA: SF back on course.

Re: SF Fleet box

Jean, I also tried to join the Federation Commander forum. It has my user name "Steve Johnson", but I never received the activation email. I have a Yahoo account, and have checked the spam/junk mail folder regularly. If you can assist with this, I would be grateful.

Thanks,

Steve

Re: If you could have one non OS ship, what would it be?

Enterprise-class (Constitution-class refit) or the Reliant.

If we were to include non-television/movie ships, the Chandley-class frigate and Romulan Winged Defender from the old FASA game.

If you are talking about the Mongoose decals, I bought mine from the War Store back in November.

Re: TOS Enterprise colour scheme

After painting my Federation ships, I found out that the original Enterprise was painted a concrete color. The closest I've seen to it is Tamiya's JN Gray mixed with Flat White, at a ratio of 5:1 gray to white. It matches the swatches in the article you posted quite well. If I had not already decal-...

SneakyPete, I got some ships last week (Fed FFG & FFB, and Klingon E4), and the bases in the blister pack were in small plastic zip bags.

I don't know. I discovered it by accident when I was washing a miniature after stripping the paint.

Re: CA engine slots-help

Before you drill it out, if you used super glue, try soaking the secondary hull in HOT water. Hot water weakens super glue, and that should make it easier to scrape the old glue off.

Re: Anybody attempt pinning the saucer of a Fed CA?

I had more problems with the nacelles on the battlecruisers and the dreadnought than with the heavy cruiser. Had no problems at all with the primary hulls. Biggest problem I have is having to strip the paint off of the frigate, old light cruiser, the two battlecruisers, and the dreadnought. I didn't...

I find it hard to believe the Mars-class is a two deck primary hull. The Constitution-class cruisers have ten decks in the primary hull, IIRC.

I, for one, can't wait for the pdf version. I would rather have it that way rather than a hard copy.

Re: 2 painted fed frigates

IIRC, that rectangle behind the bridge, on the Constitution-class at least, was a hatch that opened into the two-story physics lab. It is shown on the old Enterprise blueprints from the 70s.
