Re: Latest News on A Call to Arms: Star Fleet

Damn that's not good. That also pushes up the cost of travelling to the tournament, for me, by €30 each way as metal minis can't be in hand luggage. That may well prevent me going :( Very odd - I take metal minis with me all the time when I travel and have never had a problem. The last time was at ...

You really should do them purple, with green flashes  A Barney-Gorn fleet could be almost as cool as the Hello Kitty Space Marines

Re: This ships

I would have liked to see a little more variety added to the shape of Klingon hulls and Romulan Snipes/Eagles etc, if only to make them easier to differentiate on the tabletop .. Greg pretty much nailed it, people I've shown the models have complained that telling classes apart is quite difficult a...

Until they light up the sky/space with all those bright Plasma's
Or rather until they explode under Romulan plasma

Once you've played Fallout New Vegas: Old World Blues and not only had your brain stolen, but had an argument with it :P that no longer seems so odd!

Re: This ships

There was some really bad science in TOS, remember the Squire of Gothos who could view events on Earth via his telescope? he just had REALLY good lenses. and some way to see things faster than light could travel, meh... If I recall correctly he saw Earth as it was in the time of Napoleon, due to th...

Re: This ships

Certainly the Gorn ships and to a lesser degree the Klingons and Kzintis are very samey. I wonder why there was such a wide variety in ship hulls in the Star Fleet Command PC series, based on SFB, and how come ADB are not allowed use those designs?

Re: Second game, new questions

The term "Critical score" is for tracking stages of criticals, it has no damage value as of itself.

Re: Second game, new questions

The damage you take on the critical chart equals the actual critical score AND the Extra damage score. If you take a devestating+1 hit on a fresh location you will take 4 damage on top of the initial hull shot. Critical score 1, Critical score 2, and Extra Damage 1. Sh!t just got Real-er! That's no...

Re: Important Info on A Call to Arms: Star Fleet

Where does all this leave the tournament which was delayed until March?

It appears unlikely that many of us will have models to use on the day. Will it go ahead or be delayed. I'd like to know before lining Michael O'Leary's pockets.....

Re: Squadron Boxes

Got my squadron boxes and they are great for the most part, sure there is a lot of flash, but many models contain lots of flash, even GW's "Fine-cost" My real issue with the models, is that my War Eagle had a fin so thin it was the consistency of paper which broke off very quickly. Secondly the hole...
