Re: Traveller 5
To the collective group... I am sorry for trying to express my point of just wanting people to look for themselves at T5, and not base their feelings on what others have had to say. I yield the point that this is a Mongoose Pub board and respect that most people here perfer to just use core Mongoose...

Re: Traveller 5
So go ahead and bash me for saying all products are of value and help out the Traveller hobby as a whole. Nobody's "bashing you" for that - they're "bashing you" for your continuing misrepresentation of their opinions (as you are doing here), and your assumption that somehow your opinion is more va...

Re: Traveller 5
Well I must say, it would appear that this posting forum has tuned into a click of folks that only think that their main version/ flavor at the current time is the best thing since sliced bread and the rest of the world is wrong. Well enjoy your dream, it is only a dream however. I have seen to many...

Re: Traveller 5
Well it is pointless to try to express the point I am trying to get accross. The collective of you wants to put down T5 without even reading it yourself. Look I like Mongoose Pub's stuff and never ever complain about any errors or typos or etc. I just make the corrections myself and move on. For me ...

Re: Traveller 5
all I can say is this is a Traveller product and as with everything regardless weather it is Mongoose Traveller, 2300, or T5 we should just purchase the products because the more that is bought the wider the spread and the better off for the hobby as a whole. That is a ridiculous attitude. Nobody s...

Re: Traveller 5
Being forced to buy a product is so wrong. Buying a product to keep a company alive is so wrong. Competition keeps prices affordable and better quality and more products to choose from. Look the book is a pure Traveller product written by the person that came up with the game in the first place. By...

Re: Traveller 5
Well this am I picked up my copy of T5 at my PO Box, and I must say first it was shipped with great care and the package box was awesome. The T5 tome was in a seperate sub box within the main box. Then I liked the way the T5 CD was sent out in the larger CD jacket and the Nobility Card was sent as w...

Re: How to start a rebellion ?
You could have the Corp be the ones to drive this, with them doing Black opps and Smuggling from State A to bring in Black Market supplies and resources, to build up and stockpile for when they move against the forces of State B. Then the Corp builds a Puppet Rebellion organization that says they ar...

Re: Traveller 5
On ownership - You are not the only one with a similar Traveller collection of material over the years. On dedication to the hobby -Due to economics back in 2002, my now ex-wife gave me a choice: Give up gaming books or give up smoking or buy books then smoke them. Presented with such a difficult c...

Re: Traveller 5
Hmmm what to say to you...well if you look back it all started because SOMEONE ELSE made a sarcastic comment to ME FIRST . SO I replied in return! I only bring up my history and etc to point out that I have been around and active for a long time and extremely involved within the hobby nitch of Trave...

Wow I don't have to say anymore...your a young guy with only a few years experience and your desire to use online gaming proves your age and generation. More power to you using all the tech to play, but there is nothing like sitting in a room face to face and talking to ones friends and seeing the l...

Re: Just a Matter of Time ...
Crashing asteroids into a planet, leave a unknown factor and unclear control to the end result. There is just to much chance of unknown elements in that process to risk using it. Granted even in the Bio path there is still a possibility of unknown, but a much more controllable path.

Re: Traveller 5
The real point is I have a working group of (7) players/gamers that I have GM/DM'd now for 11 to 13 years, blah blah... 25+ years blah blah Right. We get all that. There's nothing special about it. It's like bragging about all the fish you've bagged in the company of some of the most avid and activ...

Re: Computers, Software and Tech Levels
Look in the current work software first runs on a specific OS like: Windows, Linux, Unix, Solaris, MAC, and etc. Then it further needs a specific release level of that same OS or maybe even a range of release levels. Then too, some software requires certain HW (Hardware) types like a specific Proces...

Re: Just a Matter of Time ...
A much better sure fire result doing it through bio works than to use the brute force guess work approach. Better way to control the effort.

The real point is I have a working group of (7) players/gamers that I have GM/DM'd now for 11 to 13 years, and we all have a great time playing the many different games. In truth we play Traveller, D&D, Gamma World, and Hero Systems. My game system that we all know and like, we use for Traveller, D&...
