Re: Noble Armada (Horton Hears a Who)

I think to a certain degree Noble Armada has been lost amongst the Starfleet stuff. To be fair Starfleet is newer so it's being trumpeted around more right now, but also brick and mortar stores are also probably more interested in it. I know my LGS got a bunch of Starfleet stuff where they only pick...

Re: BIG Games

I wouldn't mind a year down the road or so seeing a megagame suppliment that is designed for mass battles in Starfleet or Noble Armada. This would almost certainly be simplified. Escorts would probably only be able to take two hits(one wound, one shield) and even dreadnaughts would probably only be ...

Re: Klingon and Federation Fleet Boxes

Or look into repackaging in such a way that makes it so the ships won't be jostled around so much. One or the other. And I own some basic modeling clippers. Just not not sure if they're designed to remove something as thick as what is sticking out of the C8's center. And Mongoose is good about repla...

Klingon and Federation Fleet Boxes

So I got both of these. The Federation box was okay. Some ships in good shape, some in okay shape, nothing in too terrible shape luckily. Just minor fixes that compared to what I had to deal with from my Narn ships really aren't that bad. The Klingon box unfortunately.....well I have at least two sh...

Re: Romulan Royalhawk Makes an Appearence

Hmm...I like it but there's something about it bugging me that I can't place. Maybe it's the little stubby thing on top of the upper warp nacelles. Not sure.

Sadly the defense against this is obvious.

Yeah, I like the look of the Hotz maps better anyways. I'll probably order one at the end of this month.

Returning player from the B5 era.

Anyways I purchased both Noble Armada and Starfleet over the last month(Starfleet two days ago, Armada three weeks ago). I have the starter squadrons for Federation, Klingon(who'll be my main fleet like the Narn were during the B5 era), and Romulans. The other two squads are for variety and to try a...

Hmm...I like it. I sorta wish the upper warp nacelle was pushed a little bit further back but overall not bad.

Re: A Call to Arms: Star Fleet book quality.

Lol welcome/welcome back :) good to see another Klingon warrior. Right now it looks like we might be one of the strong fleets in the game (at least to me). One of....!? I am shocked! The Klingon Empire is the only true fleet. The rest are just targets and only exist so the Empire has someone to des...

Re: A Call to Arms: Star Fleet book quality.

It's been awhile since I purchased from Mongoose(I believe the last books I purchased were one of the earliest Traveler expansions which had good binding and Cthulhutech.....which was not so good(although they did replace it for free for me). Anyways I purchased Noble Armada three weeks ago(no fleet...

I recently picked up Black Missions(it was sitting all alone in a corner of my local hobby store). I have to admit that getting the fancy cover version of the other two books is tempting. I'll just have to hope that they're still available come November though. My entire October fund is already comm...

I just remembered something else we tried. One experiment was trying to make Minbari less annoying to fight. Whiffing on Stealth can drive people crazy. With this we changed Stealth so that instead of not shooting you halved your AD, rounding down(so a weapon with 1AD still wouldn't fire). Under thi...

An idea has been given to me. The problem with T'Loths is that everyone knows that they're crazy tough but don't have much of a punch so they kind of get ignored in a battle until everything else is dead. But if I name it Games Workshop...... :D

All mine are anyway, also they come in 3 distinct pieces that are not allowed to be stuck together. LBH Sounds like my G'Quans. :) I'm sort of trapped by the fact that my painting skills are horrible(I'll have to post a picture of my Thentus's later) and I want my G'Quans to look nice so they sort ...

Hmm....true, some of the escort ships probably need a small speed decrease and some fighters a speed boost just for flavor reasons. It is odd that some fighters are slower than capital ships, even capital ships that are not White Stars. We never really thought about it. Probably something to toy wit...

Putting it all together(variant ACTA rules).

Haven't been around for awhile but while I was away we've been toying around with a bunch of different ideas relating to ACTA. Some of them ideas that people on this forum have suggested. Others are things that we tried out. Some we liked, some we didn't. Anyways where in the past people have often ...

Bah! d10? d12? d20? We should go for a d100 system! Think of the variety that could be achieved by having 100 possible results on every roll! WONDERFUL! And charts! We'd need charts that reference other charts! That reference still more charts! And even more charts from there! :D The possi...
