The cap troopers actually make pretty good Helljumpers.

Uh, yeah. Completely my fault. I'll see about refunding a portion of that and I'll still send it to you. Ugh, things have just been crazy over here with my final semester(s) of college and work. Wake up at 6am, get ready, fight traffic to arrive at 8 or 9am, then go to school and work which means my...

Large PAMI and Arachnid armies for sale, just $100 for both

I'm done with minis gaming, so I'm looking to clear out some space from my home. I've got 64 PAMI total, about 16 have been assembled, the rest are still on sprue. One is painted like the Helljumpers from Halo, the others are unpainted. I also have 80 warrior bugs and 6 hoppers. About 40 or so have ...

Someone posted an article a while back about making hills with slopes that you can put a figure on and not have them fall over. There was a certain angle that you had to make the slope for this to work.

You might have found some more expensive version meant for high end home insulation. The cheapest stuff is likely to be styrofoam. And honestly while HDF is likely to be better, I don't think it's that much better to pay that much. Some people talk about pink insulation foam being great, try looking...

PLA army for sale

Not because I don't like BFE, but I'm getting out of miniature gaming in general until I get a more stable lifestyle. There's a lot of expenses I have lately, so these have got to go. I have: 1 Type 99 Tank 2 PLA Infantry Squads Basically it's a starter set. Looking for about $50 shipped to anywhere...

Arachnid and PAMI armies for sale

Alas, I'm leaving the miniature gaming scene for now. I don't have the time or space to hold on to my giant SST collection, nor do I have the time to paint them since I'm graduating soon, finding a new job, and getting an apartment. So I need to sell them to help with expenses. I've got 64 PAMI tota...

2030 might be a bit of ways over. You should definitely let your opponent know you're 30 points over and let him take an option to match up. I know it sounds like not much, but 30 points is about 1 extra soldier or support option, and 1 guy can change things. Forexample, that's one more to kill to h...

You could say that ever bit of future warfare fiction is "weak" because they're just "carbon copying" Robert A Heinlein's vision of infantry powered armor in the Starship Troopers book. Those tau battlesuits? Heinlein's idea, carbon copy. All that anime? Carbon copy. Forth? Sure, carbon copy. The Ma...

The Forth are not a copy of the Tau. Instead, both the Tau and the Forth are inspired by a broad spectrum of Japanese anime designs. Because they're pulling from the same art style, there's bound to be similarities.

The thing to remember is that whether or not the old models will always be available, all of the old models will be tournament legal in SSTE. They'll have official stats published in S&P so that even if any of the models won't be remade in SSTE, you'll still have the stats for them to play with offi...

Also note that unlike in the original rules, you can place the fire zone anywhere you want within that 12", then measure out another 6" to see what the furezone catches. Thus you have an effective range of about 18" from the center of the model. Once again, this was factored into the model's stats a...

If anything, once the advanced rules come out I'm sure we'll see some conversions of 40k and other games to SST, and vice versa.

Looks nice, but yeah, needs a lot more suppression tokens.

Didn't think they'd get these tokens out so fast considering the main rulebook isn't out yet, so there could be some other effects that need tokens.

Take the time related factor of "release date" out of the equation. All that release date means when you will get the stats for you to plan your army. If you are patient enough, and hold off on buying for a while, you can effectively plan your army at no cost to yourself. This requires patience thou...

Unlike other games, you will have stats, for free, for every unit in BFE. THe thing is, you won't get these stats ahead of time. So the only difference is that unlike other games that release an army book you must pay for, Mongoose releases all the stats online as a free download on release of the m...

Well, it's certainly possible. Definitely doable since there's no need to update army books. I just don't want to see a repeat of SST1 towards the end where we saw a lot of rehashes of MI just to fill points/releases. And please, no more slapped on changes like the bigfoot and whatever hawk marauder...

I wouldn't mind them making a scout variant of the exos. What I really want to see is a command variant, that, like the book, is extra tough, stronger. It should have some more on model things that make it look like a command model. Whether it's a comm pack that replaces the atlas rig, bulked up arm...

Anyone else seriously scared that the EFTF now how have very bad ass tanks this early? I mean people complain about EFTF lack of AT, but they've certainly got al ot of tanks already, I don't want to see them with even more infantry based AT until my PLA get something of their own. My poor Type 99s, ...
