Re: VAS 2 Update

I have to agree: Stats for most common types used and common makeup of convoys should be enough. Maybe some sample convoy make ups for scenarios would be good, with some "Ships In The Class" names. I would think an OOB with every ship ever used to haul 'Beans and Bullets' here and there in WWII is a...

ACTA:B5 Revised Edition Question

Hi All, I am making a version of the fleet design program I made for ACTA: SF for ACTA: B5. I have a copy of the ACTA: B5 revised edition. Is that the last version of fleet creation rules that was done? The reason I ask is I have seen threads here that say updated rules for fleet creation were poste...

Thank You Mattthew

As you may know, I have posted here about some troubles I have had with an order from Mongoose. I think it is only fair, then, to post when Mongoose comes through like a champ as well. I have been on a business trip for two weeks and just returned today. I had a set of missing engines for a Federati...

Re: My first game-advice

LimeyDragon had a great set of charts. I have one version that I downloaded, but it may need updated. I highly recommend it to speed things up. The old link on this site to his sheets does not seem to work. Does anyone have a better link? EDIT: This is the old link: http://www.limeydragon.com/galler...

Re: Fleet program

Hi Ben, Adding data to be used to create a fleet list is very easy. Once that is done, though, a control sheet image for any ships added must be created and saved for use by the part of the program that creates the pdf control sheets. This is what takes the most time when adding new data or making c...

Re: Fleet program

I think I would give SVC more credit as a business man than that. :) Who knows, basically the program itself does not care what the control sheet looks like. I could use the same program layout for Federation Commander to generate fleets and control sheets if SVC wanted to . . . Heck It could do NA ...

Re: Fleet program

Hi Again, First, there are a couple of forum people who have be using the program pretty regularly and have given some good feedback. I added the ability to select the printer when printing the fleet roster thanks to a suggestion from Tim, and it seems to be working correctly so far. There has been ...

Re: Fleet program

Thanks for all of the interest, and thanks to those who have helped with testing and have said kind things about the program. I appreciate the help and support. Billclo: There was a reason for the limit before on the fleet size before the PDF version, but that has gone away and at this point, theore...

Re: Fleet program

Quick Update: Sent a mail to SVC last week to see if he would like to see the program. No reply yet, but from what Jean had posted I gather he is pretty busy right now with SFB stuff. Based on feedback from testers I made a couple of changes: 1) Made the max fleet size 3500 now, up from 2500 points....

Re: Monster off the starboard bow! (Pictures)

So, I did a play test of my solo rules and the first and most simple monster: The planet Crusher. The play test went pretty well, and I made some minor adjustments to the rules and the monster. All in all, it reflected the goal of letting new players learn the rules in a solo environment, but was en...

Re: What play aids are people using?

I have a company, http://www.dapperdevil.com - met them at OrcCon in LA in Feb. Great stuff I don't remember if they do custom. They DO fill the etching with white paint... not crayon but *paint*. They have a huge selection. I like the missile counter . . not custom and could be a "drone". A little...

Re: Even more Drone questions it never stops!

I agree 100% Cpt. Jonah, but there are those who will not accept anything less than a ruling by Matt on this. I play this as only 2 rolls in my example. The sensors know that one drone did not lock, phasers do not get their kill zone modifiers for damage because they "fire long before that range", s...
