Re: Hints, tips and advise for a newbie Legends GM

First of all decide which of the magic varieties you want your scenario to include. For me personally that means "personal" magic and divine magic, but not sorcery which is anathema. That's not to say it might not come up at some point, but if it ever does every other person in the world will decry ...

Re: How to roleplay it

Just checked with The GM. Apparently it was A 1st level party and she rolled A 85 to 100 on 1D100's 5 times in A row on her custom made table. That meant that 5 1st level Pcs ended up facing A 6th level or equivalent foe that ended up A 1 to 5 on the 6th 1D100 resulted in them facing A 2nd level Ch...

Re: How to roleplay it

Your friend has a lot of questions! First Traveller and now Legend combined with D&D! Anyway. The GOLDEN RULE applies here. Player knowledge should not come into this. If everyone except the thief died, and there were absolutely NO other people around to witness the fact, then as long as the thief d...

State of Mongoose 2019: Legend

Legend We know there will be a fair few of you wanting to hear about our plans for the Legend RPG. This entire line has been stymied by the graphics bottleneck, but this has started to be loosened up. It will take a few months to properly get back up to speed but, once there, we already have some m...

Re: INT and POW of Animals

Monsters of Legend 1 has a few very good examples. A Deer has the following stat block: Str 2D6+6 (Av 13) Con 3D6 (Av 11) Siz 3D6+12 (Av 23) (I don't agree with this - this should be 2D6+12) Int 4 (Av 4) Pow 2D6 (Av 7) Dex 3D6+6 (Av 17) A dog has this stat block: Str 1D6+1 (Av 5) Con 3D6 (Av 11) Siz...

Re: INT and POW of Animals

I don't have the books on me right now, but the Monsters of Legend books have stats for some "mundane" animals. If no one else beats me to it I'll look some up tonight for you.

More ideas please. My friends in way over his head and I want to be able to offer immediate advise when he realizes it and asks my help As a friend of his, rather than sitting back and thinking "he's in way over his head" and that "he IS going to fail, I'll wait till he does then jump in to save hi...

Re: Legend: Ancient Stones (Setting Creation)

So the "First step" the writing course says to do is to make a Mood Board. Here's my landscape Mood Board (with just a hint of people about it. That's me bottom left. All images are my own except for the drawn image middle-left.) https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/BaWriptiie73Gb63ghVKvuf02f_7CKIhCuMd...

Re: State of Legend

Hi Guys, it's been awhile. It sure has! :? I think part of the problem is with freelancers like myself. Arcania of Legend: Elementalism took waaaaaaayyyy longer than I expected it to; mostly due to the fact I had limited hours to spend on it, I'm very much an amateur and I'm a pedantic S.O.B. and w...

Excellent news, thanks.

Will it be free or available through DTRPG?
Currently I have no idea. I've no idea what kind of tome it will be yet as I'm still in very very early planning. So we'll see!

Re: Suggested levels

I know squat about levels in D&D, Sorry.
I would suggest to ask in the D&D forums on www.rpggeek.com as you will certainly get lots of replies (like Soltakss's above) to help you.

Re: How how essential is Common Magic to you

I haven't heard from any of my Legend friends for a long time. How are guy's doing??? Not the best forum post to put this on, but for what it's worth - I'm all good! Busy with life, the universe, and everything. Havn't really touched Legend in a while, purely out of chance not because I'm avoiding ...

To all of you who write for Legend - You have my full support, and I buy what I can even if I am unlikely to ever run it. I also try to read and review where possible - though my time for such is limited too. One thing you can be sure I do though is get the item onto RPGGeek with images etc. Also, i...

Re: So about Historia Rodentia?

I'm not too sure I get what you mean. The HR book is built on the Legend framework. Other than a few additions and changes it is basically the same thing.

The character looks good though - keep us up to date on how things go! :)
