Miranda and bird of prey are not within SFU.
The term SFBU is really incorrect, and I have never seen it anywhere but here. SFU is the correct term.

Would the game offer a hex-based map option for those who may want to use it? ANSWER: I don’t know what Matthew plans to do, but (with no knowledge on this question) I’d bet no. ==== (If the Starline 2500 minis were to have hex bases, in order to work with the other games, that could be handy.) ANSW...

A possible example of this is STARMADA. Under a deal with them, we have been printing SFU versions of Starmada for a couple of years. The guys who like starmada always wanted to play trekky things with it, and have been doing that for a while, and it works nicely for them. Starmada is very similar i...

Yes, that is the plan. The empire books are 144 pages. The difference between the gurps or PD20m version and the traveller version would be.... sample character redone for other system skills and stuff translated into new system. weapons stats translated to new system. I'm told that traveller lays o...

The starline 2200 ships, the starline 2300 ships, and the starline 2400 ships were all the same scale (1/3788, caused by Lou Zocchi who told the very first sculptor: "Make the Enterprise three inches long." The starline 2500s will be bigger. Matthew told me that the saucer is 40mm instead of 33mm, w...

I have seen a lot of different tonnage calculators. The one for Gurps 3 (the first one I came to on my bookshelf) puts the D7 at 110,000 deadweight tons. I think more in terms of crew size, which is about 450 for an SFU heavy cruiser. Deck plans are going to be amusing to think about. The smallest f...

SFU (Star Fleet Universe, comprising a lot of games using a common knowledgebase) started with TOS but has gone far beyond it, in a different direction from TNG, DS9, STV, and STE. Now, if you WANT to play the STOS you saw on screen, the rulebooks we have let you do that (and I promise not to person...

Hello to you all. I’m the President of ADB, Inc., and owner of most of the stock. I designed SFB, F&E, FC, SFBF, and other games. I am NOT an RPG player but I have expert RPG people working for me, and they guide company decisions on those product lines. I haven’t overuled Jean Sexton (our RPG manag...

Yes, it's true, ADB and Mongoose have a signed contract for these games. My team (Jean Sexton is my RPG line editor and Mike West is to be the PD Traveller designer) is already at work on these books, but even at that, the earliest you might see the first book is Christmas, and that's not a promise....

Yes, it's true, and we look forward to working well with our British cousins. Matthew and I have spent months negotiating this contract and we have become fast friends over that experience. For a very complex contract, this was about the easiest one to actually get signed I have ever seen. Mongoose ...
