I too have the A&A minis but have thought of going smaller for this game. The figurehead minis would produce large fleets on a smaller game surface. It seems to be a tough call. The A&A minis are very cool looking in relation to detail. The very small minis like figurehead will loose some detail to ...

Very cool planes! I am still into the ships. I am not sure about the planes. They are pretty small to paint. I will give it a go in the future especially after checking your planes out. :)

Thanks Ray. I have downloaded the files. The Italian aircraft pdf is cool. I am having trouble at the moment figuring out how to open the RAR files. I will check out the rest later. Thanks again Ray!

This is a great idea...Hmmm...I may have to start working on these.

What miniatures do you use for VAS?

Was just wondering what most players use for miniatures for VAS. I listed what I thought were some popular brands. If you use something else please share what miniature you use.

I know this post is dated, but I would like to know the answer to this question as well. Anybody? Or is there somewhere on this forum where you can direct me to the answer?

These are all very cool bases. This thread is another great example of having some type of modeling section and placing all of these in one section.

I have been researching basing and found these posts very useful in my research.

Great looking ships :!:

There seem to be some great modelers and painters in here but the threads seem to be...well...everywhere. Is it possible to create a sub forum for folks to put there great works of art in?

Midway is my favorite. Its not a "Training" film but it does get me in the mood to break out the miniatures. I also have heard that WB is remaking the film in 3D. http://www.filmofilia.com/2010/08/31/warner-bros-to-spend-200-million-on-3d-epic-battle-of-midway/ Google it and you will find several si...

There are at least a dozen major suppliers of WWII naval miniatures, in scales ranging from 1:6000 to 1:1250, and at least a few 1:700 waterline models. I would guess a range of naval wargames minis would be at best risky, and at worst, foolish. As to updates, I would think the huge set of Italian ...

If I am a consumer and want to get into a naval war game what am I going to look for. First I am going to look on the shelf at the store. If a game is out of print, it is more than likely not going to be there. As a game gets older, it becomes harder to find and may not even get looked at. When deci...

I would hope that if not miniatures, they get some kind of update finished or some kind of new edition to the game. I think you will see a great game slip away if they ignore it much longer. WOTC Axis & Allies naval miniatures fit this game very well but for the most part they have the corner market...

No, as far as I know the plans are definitely set in putty just now :) I'm still working on the AOD supplement, and the RJW supplement would fit in nicely after that but is still in "concept" stage at the moment. There are other plans afoot, but Matt hasn't gone public on those. Thanks for the quit...
