<A:2089 Conversion> Scout WarMek Art and Stats

Here's my version of a walker from one of Mongoose's earlier games, Armageddon: 2089. In building this, I altered the speed increase slightly. It takes up less space, but requires two minor actions when moving fast. This is because the Mek has to "run", which is harder than just stepping on the gas,...

I don't think that weapon bay dimensions were ever spelled out.
Wouldn't it go straight from their size in dTons?

Re: Sample Art: Industrial vehicles

Nice job! I see your skills improving every time you post something.

One (possible) quibble: Does a person fit on that chair and still under the roof in that last one? Maybe it's just the angle, but the chair looks too big or the vehicle too small to me.

It is perfectly acceptable to adjust any characteristic of a vehicle."

Re: Star System Naval Reserve

Unless you are running a small ship universe, I don't think the navy is all that interested in Free Traders, but perhaps that is only because of a lack of imagination. I was thinking these would mostly be along the lines of "National Guard" sort of thing, where a system might want an immediately or...

Star System Naval Reserve

To follow up the Frontier Variants booklet, I'm working on a Naval Reserve, where a star system that wants some naval ships for cheap takes all the local Free/Far Traders and makes the majority of the ship modular, and then provides modules when it needs extra naval power. They also may use 'bolt-on...

Re: Planetary map of Jewell, anyone?

Well, it's not official or anything, and it's just a physical map (no political boundaries or cities or anything), but here's a map matching Jewell's physical parameters.

If this'll work for you, I could upload a larger one, if you need.

Re: Co-discover of Metallic Hydrogen wrote paper on metallic hydrogen for rockets

Yeah, it seems like the biggest limiting factor at that point would be spare parts for your jump drive. Which might mean that the main routes would either all have higher TL worlds, or that the starports would carry higher TL parts on the main routes.

Don't let this stop you. I find that in cases like this, if you take the first step then others are willing to help you. You draw a rough draft of what you want first. Post it. :D
That, and/or stat it up, at least. :)

Re: Art: Light freighter

Well, and with that much of the planet in shadow and being that far away, you probably would be able to see some stars. The reason you can't in those other orbital shots (I would think) is the same reason you can't see any stars if you take a picture with a streetlight or the full moon in the shot.

Re: Next Major project: feedback and comments encouraged

I love your ship designs. :) The gray background shots are great. My only critique on the 'action shot' is that the lighting seems different. Is it a painted background? I also envy your texturing skills. My Free Trader Variants is currently being stymied by lack of front cover illustration. I've go...

Most of the ones I have so far are rather extensive re-fits of the core book version.

Collection of Free Trader variants

I'm working on a collection of Free Trader variants (to be put out through TAS as soon as I solve for cover art). Right now I have deckplans for each variant, the construction data, and a 'datacard' area that is intended to summarize the information you'd want during play (for example, range and dam...

Re: When a Noble is a Paladin

Back in the LBB days, my dad actually did more or less the opposite, and ran a scenario where his Traveller group stumbled on his fantasy world. What little I've heard indicates that the Traveller group had a fun time trying to sort out how to deal with working magic and such until they accomplished...
