Re: Greek Pantheon: Anybody done this?

According to a thread in RPGnet, The Design Mechanism is planning a Mythic Greece supplement for their RQ6. I'm sure this is a looong way off, but I'm a little surprised it hasn't been done already. Legend/RQ seems meant for Mythic Greece. I thought I had a copy of GURPS Greece kicking around somewh...

Re: Greek Pantheon: Anybody done this?

Thanks for the replies here. I'm going to create a fairly simple, very fictionalized, version of Greece for this, based on Zena, Clash of the Titans, etc. It's my first time running Legend, and I want to keep things light and simple. I plan to steal liberally from the Mazes and Minotaurs RPG. I'm no...

Greek Pantheon: Anybody done this?

I'd like to try Legend out with an ancient Greece setting, so I wonder if anyone has written up cults for the Greek Gods & can save me some work?

Thanks for your help,

Any recomendations for Ransom values?

It looks like my PC's are going to capture some tomb-robbers, and I this seems like a good time to introduce the concept of ransom, since the PC's may need to resort to it themselves at some point. My problem is that I really don't know what constitutes a reasonable ransom, and what factors come int...

OK, in that case my next question is: Why is AP/HP listed for all the weapons? How does that come into play?

Newbie Question - Parrying

This seems obvious, but I'm not 100% sure. If an attack and the responsive parry are both successful, does that mean the attack damage is applied to the parrying weapon or shield? And if so, how quickly do shields, etc. get destroyed in average play?

Or Mongoose could just publish a Kane of Old Mars book in their Michael Moorcock Eternal Champion series and not have to pay for an additional license, since Mr. Moorcock wrote the Kane books as an homage to Burroughs. I really need to get my hands on that book! The first I heard of it was in The L...

I was mostly just wondering why the MRQ wiki doesn't have anything up for MRQ2. I guess I should stop wondering and put something up.

RQ2 do it yourself?

With no SRD for RQ2, I'm not clear what Mongoose policy is on allowing 3rd party and fan published material - both on websites and in print. I'm thinking about scenarios, NPCs, new spells, rule variants, and that sort of thing. Can somebody tell me what guidelines exist, if any?

Thanks.

Yes. There's a misleading typo in the manual about this, but clearly it intended to say you should subtract enough from both skills to bring the higher skill down to 100%. Not clear what would happen if the lower skill is reduced to less then 0% by this, but if the difference is that great, the guy ...

The summary sheet is great, thanks. I'm going to need to put together a few sheets like this so the players (and) I can keep track of what our options are.

I usually GM a homebrew world. It's too much trouble to meet player expectations for anything 'canned'. Having said that, I will liberally steal from anywhere. I figure if it's not for publication, anything goes. I've mostly used some iteration of D&D, but also GURPS, RQ and Savage Worlds. My last f...

Combat Manoeuvres available by weapon

In the equipment tables, each weapon has a few combat manoeuvres listed as possible. There are several manoeuvres (Like Choose Location) that aren't listed as available for any weapon. However, in the Combat chapter, some manoeuvres are restricted to certain types of weapons, but most don't mention ...
