Re: The emperor
There is an old Judges Guild adventure where the characters do just that in order to receive their knighthoods.

Re: Prelude to Tripwire, the Adventure ***contains spoilers***
So, the name of the last session says it all. I'm taking the characters through the Tripwire adventure which will then lead directly into the Fifth Frontier War. I like your idea of using a miss-jump to get them to Farreach. In my Traveller campaign there are two PC's that served together and both ...

Railgun Barbette: Though the rounds a railgun uses are low technology armor penetrators, the weapon itself uses electromagnetic forces to accelerate them to sizable fractions of the speed of light, delivering a high dose of kinetic energy to the target. Railgun turrets contain enough ammunition for ...

Re: Additional Ship Countermeasures Reaction - Sensor Jam
A lot of the discussion is based on using HG for a table top style game. If you go back to the RPG side of this where a group of Travellers are flying the ship and your engagements are a small number of paramilitary craft, does expanding the ECM add more to the game or take it away? These rules mak...

Re: Additional Ship Countermeasures Reaction - Sensor Jam
It's a good addition to the rules. Makes sense as it's consistent with the opposite method. Are you replacing or supplementing the Electronic Warfare (Sensor Operator) action? Must the ship have some form of countermeasures installed? I see jamming as and additional action. Correction: Jamming sens...

Additional Ship Countermeasures Reaction - Sensor Jam
Basically a Sensor Jam is the opposite of a sensor lock.
If a Sensor Jam is successful the attacking ship receives a bane on all attacks.
Feel free to comment.

Starship Weapons With Auto Question
Suppose I have 2 Plasma Pulse Cannons mounted on a turret
2D Damage, Auto 4
If firing a burst at a single target, would they cause
2D (base)+ 2 (D of second weapon) + 4 (auto)+ effect,
or does the auto stack in some way like the base d damage?

Re: Adding armor and/or stealth to your starship
Based on the rules described in MgT2 High Guard, do you think it's possible to add armor and/or stealth modifications to a starship? Or would those be additions built into the hull at the shipyard when the ship was constructed? My players have an Empress Marava far trader and have survived their fi...

Re: Robot Characters

Re: Vehicle Hull Points Questions
I think I am going to introduce a new rule:
Slug throwers do 1/2 damage against vehicles
AP, HEAP and Energy weapons do full damage
Melee weapons do 1/2 damage
Energy melee weapons do full damage
Chime in and let me know your thoughts...

Does a well equipped player character really have more armor and hit points than a Gecko Assault Vehicle?
Will 2 or 3 shots with a revolver really destroy an air raft?
Am I missing something?

Second is character creation. We ended up deciding it made the most sense that everyone come to an agreement on what term to end creation. One player wanted to do one more term before ending, but we weren't sure how to resolve all the connections everyone made in previous terms or what those player...

Re: What happened to the Range Charts?
A soldier in tight corners of a space hulk or trench system using a pistol, shotgun, or SMG should get advantage over a soldier with a scoped sniper rifle if they come around a corner and encounter each other 1.5-3 meters apart. MgT1 handles that well, MgT2.. not so well. Maybe there's an exception...
