Sheet(s)? I doubt that any errata for 2nd Edition would fill a paragraph.

Re: Opposed Checks – Need help with rule interpretation

Failure vs failure Character A rolls 5 / effect -3 (failure) Character B rolls 4 / effect -4 (failure) They both failed their tasks. But one is scraping the bottom of the barrel first, sort of thing. I would need to know what the situation was (some context), and what tasks that each was trying, to...

I'm curious what 57th-century tech actually works against slavery.

Re: Droyne Sport

It's interesting that they know about the Droyne, but not know how to generate such a character. There must be a reason why they want to role-play that race. What books are they reading?

Or is your plan to make a pre-gen of a Droyne to give out to a player?

Re: Radiation damage on a large ship.

According to High Guard, large ships' crews suffer a degradation in performance for every 10% of their hull points they lose to radiation weapons (if unshielded). This is quite tidy for handling large crews abstractly. The question here is: how would you handle radiation damage to an individual cre...

This is awesome; a New Improved AHL! Don't forget to add VTT compatible deck-plans.. Oh.. And miniatures as well! :D
This Amara-Class ship is old. Ha! Almost 40 years old. The AHL is a different animal.

Re: Rulebook reprint

There was a number missing for each ship in the January 2016 PDF. Later PDFs have that number included on the ship charts now. I don't know what that number was (hull number?). I don't have the PDF. Just the 1st printing of the hardcover, which is missing the number.

Re: New Zozer Games SF setting - Hostile - Gritty, near'ish future

If you need CE to play Hostile, then why is Hostile being posted on a Traveller forum? CE is a different game, and is not Traveller. In fact, it's anti-Traveller. And anti-Mongoose.

Is this usable with Mongoose Traveller 2e? I don't know how much Cepheus engine differs.
If you have Traveller already, you don't need Cepheus Engine.

Re: Combat damage effects and charactiscs DM

Hello, there is another question I have concerning the New Traveller combat rules this time. If a Traveller‘s or opponent‘s characteristics are reduced due to applicable damages, does this have an effect on the current DMs of the attributes as well. Example: Dexterity falls from 11 to 5 - does the ...

Re: Nuts and bolts of the Imperium (gov't - how it works)

Travellers will over time figure out how things work in a society or a government. Part of the explore/discover stuff they might choose or need to do in a campaign. I never read a description of a world to players. "Your group is orbiting a planet with a UWP of blah blah... The Law Level is blah bl...

Re: Nuts and bolts of the Imperium (gov't - how it works)

But for the campaign I’m currently running the actual mechanics of how their fiefs work aren’t that important. I’m also assuming that their real power is more in their influence than any direct authority. That seems to work fine - for my campaign at least. I'll have NPCs that are running government...

Re: Nuts and bolts of the Imperium (gov't - how it works)

I suggest that ANYONE can pose a hypothetical, and try to get answers to questions they are wrestling with for their Imperium. That's why this thread is titled "Nuts and Bolts" - some assembly required. :) Also, I would say that there is no "one rule fits all situations", as far as how worlds are g...

Re: Nuts and bolts of the Imperium (gov't - how it works)

Making mountains out of molehills. The governments are fantasy. Do with them as you will as Referee. In the end, 95% of players won't care how every planet is being run. If a player does have a great idea for one, let them narrate the workings of it.
