peelseel2,
DonM61873 passed away on 12/11/15. I'm his widow. His errata is available on DriveThruRPG at https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/12 ... ation-Pack. I didn't know if anyone else would answer you.

Re: Aren't new PDFs issued instead of errata?
I believe that everything in that file will be seen, so feel free to use it, but recognize that it isn't official right now... Perhaps unofficial errata would still be useful, certainly that's how my legacy effort started. But Mongoose chose a different direction on purpose, and that should be obvio...

Re: Aren't new PDFs issued instead of errata?
That was a long time ago... Matt opted to go in a different direction, and I was supposed to remove that proof of concept document... And now it's removed... I had completely forgotten I had that up (I'm breaking in a new laptop, and updating my personal pages is so... next week). At the time I was ...

Re: What is the state of the art for starship design tools?
Don, given your role as FFE minion, can you shed on any light as to whether or not your enquiry is because FFE are looking to publish software tools for Traveller titles please? My inquiry is because I'm painfully aware of the problems with the Zhodani ship designs, and I don't want to repeat my mi...

You can't exactly share your efforts with that.ShawnDriscoll wrote:ZX81 BASIC. Still the best programming platform for Traveller.

Re: What is the state of the art for starship design tools?
Hey, someone had to program with it. In the early 90s, that was pretty state of the art.

Re: What is the state of the art for starship design tools?
What's wrong with the Zhodani ships? I mean, aside from the fact that several of them completely lack deckplan info I think they're fine :) (seriously, I'd be very happy if that little detail got fixed...) Oh and the layout/design works very well, with clear plans, three-way drawings and a 'photo'....

What is the state of the art for starship design tools?
So it's April 2015... Is the best we've got for Mongoose starship designs basically a few spreadsheets? Because I'll own up that I really do not like the Zhodani designs in that book, and am now at the point where I'd like the Droyne designs to be better. Which means I need to first fix my tools. So...

Re: Alien Book Droyne & Minor Alien Books
I am finally refocused on finishing this book. Sadly, I put everyone else's priorities over my own.
And I tossed two chapters I didn't like and am rewriting them from scratch. But I am trying to finish before the Christmas holiday.

Re: Traveller Errata review
Ok, is there a generally accepted rewrite of the rule available?sideranautae wrote:donm61873 wrote:In that case. A total rewrite of the Barrage rule explanation is in order [High Guard]. It is mind numbingly written. I have yet to meet a player that could comprehend it in only one or two reads.

Re: Traveller Errata review
Actually, at the time I created it, the errata document only had errata for the Traveller Core Rulebook (TCR). However, since then the errata document has been expanded, so the title should probably change...

Re: Traveller Core Rulebook errata
At the moment, everything in the errata can be 'reconsidered', at least to some extent. And like all of the Traveller legacy errata, not everyone is going to agree that one item might even be a problem.

Re: Traveller Core Rulebook errata
Another that depends on how the rules are intended in MGT version. Pg. 97 CRB; Thruster Pack entry (was Long Range Thruster Pack in earlier editions) " The TL 14 version of the long-range pack is much smaller as it uses grav-thruster plates instead ," Again not sure if intent is to have man portabl...

Re: Traveller Core Rulebook errata
Pg. 102 CRB. PGMP paragraph: " It is powered by a built-in micro-fusion generator ..." This is a TL 12 weapon listing. Not sure if rules REALLY intended to have man portable fusion generators at this TL or, this is an inadvertent cut and paste from an earlier rule set... We'll have to go look at th...

Re: Traveller Core Rulebook errata
I've asked the credited author, and he claims no idea as to what the two of you are discussing about that section getting confused. Sideranautae, who should I be contacting for the specific section? The author who responded a couple years ago on either COTI or here. Here is the text I copied last y...

In the process of compiling the current High Guard errata to add to this. At that point, I'll provide a link to the combined document, as the forum cannot handle the formatting.
And thanks to the several e-mails that have responded.

Re: Traveller Core Rulebook errata
Well, based on the almost total lack of response so far I thought it would be better than almost nothing... If you noticed I'm one of ONLY two who jumped in with ANY errata to help out with the request. Not entirely true. This has been gathered over time through the email address. People contributi...
