Re: New Ships Unveiled for Victory at Sea

Will the flights of aircraft be cast in resin or metal? And if resin, will it be a clear or opaque material?

Re: Battleships – Which Was Best?

Clearly it was the USS Alaska. Longer than the North Carolina class, bristling with AA weapons, a main battery that flung... Wait, what do you mean, it's a large crusier?

Re: Rumor: VaS Miniatures will be 1/1800 Scale

Was just about to make a post asking if 1/1800 was still happening. Know what I'm going to be asking for for Christmas then. :D

Off topic, any chances for getting a mini for the Chitose as the carrier conversion? All the miniatures I've ever found seem to be the seaplane tender.

Leipzig/Nurnberg Class

I know second edition is going to be coming out in the not too distant future, but in the meantime, I was wondering if anyone had statted up these two ships. I guess they could be run as K-class cruisers, but their secondary and AA mounts were doubled, torpedo mounts tripled, a complement of mines a...

Re: VaS 2.0 confirmed!

Any chance we'll be getting an All Stop! special action? Coming over from B5 ACTA, that kind of threw me for a loop.

Will the AP be a bit like the new version of ACTA with AP1 being the same as the old AP, AP2 being SAP, etc, or will it be an entirely new mechanic?

"Yes, your ships are very impressive in the air or space, but at this moment they are on the ground."

Centauri should know better.

Re: Stats for Seaplane Tenders?

Sorry, some more questions concerning aircraft. Can ships like the battleship/carrier version of the Ise that have actual flights of aircraft listed, but do not possess the carrier trait rearm the craft they carry after they have expended their ordanance/ammunition? How many flights can they ...

Re: VAS Counter Sheets and Such

Status counters for VAS. Sheets contain Counters for Special Actions, status affecting crits, and ordnance and reloading tokens for all your one-shot and slow-loading needs. If anybody has any requests, just give me a PM, and I'll see what I can do about getting it added to the sheets. :D http://www...

Re: Stats for Seaplane Tenders?

@Myrm Thanks! That's one on the list down. @ rbecker The same page that had the list for Sweden has a bunch of control cards, and had one for the Chitose/Choyada, but as midget sub carrier. I'd really just like stats for http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japanese_aircraft_carrier_Chitose and http://en.wi...

Stats for Seaplane Tenders?

My search-fu has failed me, so I was wondering if anybody had knocked up some stats for a Chitose/Choyada before they were converted to escort carriers. By the same token, I was wondering if anyone had any stats for the HMS Gotland, or maybe the USS Curtiss, or some of the other seaplane tenders. Th...

Never been exposed to that universe before, but I really like the looks of the ships. I will say that my poor Narn are a bit jealous of the Spinal Mounts... They sound like what the Mag Gun should have been. In looking at it, I have to ask, is this is going to be one of those supplements that's bala...

I've posted the first revision based on input people have made thus far. Now comes with three flavors of EA ship tables for people to play around with. :) Obviously, there are still some things missing, like modifiers for some of the races, and entire ship tables for most of the races. But what do y...

I like using APTE after closing with enemies in certain circumstances. If I make a headlong attack run against enemies that have no rear arc weapons, I like to use it when needed to guarantee that I end up in their rear arc and get a turn or so of unanswered shooting. Works best if you can force the...

I'm fond of putting a pair of Sho'Kovs in a squadron with a Var'Nic. It's a minimal investment, but it gives you another 2AD of Ion Torps, 2AD of AF, and a few weak attack dice that can cover the sides. And Sho'Kovs seem to last inordinately long for what they are. As to concerns about the Star Snak...

I'm really liking that idea. I had been working on simplified 2d6 breakdown tables, but I was still looking at having three (an average one suited for most races, a bottom-heavy one for races like Drazi, and a top-heavy one for races like the ISA). This would mean only one table, and achieve more or...

I had originally meant the two races separately, but the two together would be a blast. :D Looking at the stuff in the Fleet Lists and PnP, you really only lose access to the Juyaca and Brivoki, and the Drazi rule where they get +1 to ramming and Stand Down and be Boarded. The initiative gets set to...
