Re: Salute 2013 Picture

Just added the Patwagon picture to the Salute Gallery on my blog. Sorry it's not the best picture in the world but my phone doesn't have the best camera in the world

Re: Salute 2013 Picture

The Patwagon did look good and is going to be a lot more affordable than the Manta. I have a photo but I haven't had time to clean it up or resize it yet but I'll get it up on the blog as soon as I can. The one thing I would say about the Manta is that the detailed panel lines look very subtle and b...

Making Urban Scenery

Hi all

I've just added a new tutorial to my blog showing how to make Sci-Fi planters for urban environments. These are ideal for games like Judge Dredd as they look good and provide that all important cover.

You can find the tutorial here http://sixdsix.co.uk/?p=1249

That was kind of the ballpark I was thinking about, just wondering if anything had come up during playtesting. I seem to remember that classic RQ had some values for temple service prices. I didn't want to make it quest for reward based as in most circumstances a temple is unlikely to use a group of...

Spell casting costs

Maybe it's me but I can't find anything to indicate what sort of costs people would charge for spell casting. I see you can hire an Acolyte or Priest for a ridiculously small fee but clearly they will not be throwing in Divine Spells for that amount. Already had a character in my group lose an arm a...

In last nights game one character wailed on a host of unarmoured Skeletons with a quarter staff by using choose location head. Until he met the one with a plate helmet  A bit of quick thinking can always scupper a good plan. I find that scantily clad handmaidens with Protection 6 always cause c...

Monster Coliseum release date?

I notice that MC has slipped onto Aprils release list. Anyone have any idea when it's likely to be going out?

The frequency of CM's and their often visual impact is one of the joys of RQII combat. My players find that they remember combats graphically rather than as a series of dice rolls which makes the game much more of a story telling event. For instance in our last session one of the party got knocked d...

Just thinking and it occurs to me that specialist CM's would be a great way to model martial arts training. These would definitely have to be something that would require training rather than being generic.

I had my party rolling it when they first visited the tribal chief. Coming from a small hearth in the mountains the first adventure had them visiting the tribal chief for aid and they had to roll to make sure they did things right.

I would be quite willing to consider having CS versions of some of the CM's that are more effective. For instance a CS Bleed that imposes a negative modifier on the Resilience roll or drops the opponent 2 levels of Fatigue on the initial strike. My only concern would be to end up with a bloated list...

I like things like fast reload but things like gain hero point is more of a rules mechanic hook than what I would think of as a combat manoeuvre. I've found them nice aides to visual description as much as anything else, things that aren't "real" just don't seem right to me.

I actually produced a cut down character generation document crib sheet for my players as they only came from a limited cultural background. This is what I included with regards to combat manoeuvres. During initial character generation your character gains the following Combat Manoeuvres: Bash Oppon...

Limiting Combat Maneuvres

As Combat Maneuvres seem to be a topic of conversation right now I thought I'd pitch in with something I'm using on my game that works quite well. I only allowed about half the combat maneuvres as default ones, plus 2 they could pick from those that remained. In game if they want to learn any of the...
