In game terms 20" range makes them good torpedoes. 20" range plus a fan attack at the start makes them really good torpedoes. 34" inch range makes them I-never-want-to-fight-against-the-Japanese-ever good torpedoes.
Kinda makes you glad there were only two ships in the Kitakami class, huh?

Re: September Playtest Pack

Book 1, Coasts and Shorelines. * Hardened Coastal Battery, Todt Battery, and Wanstone Battery are all 6+/24 damage/400 points. But Wanstone has 2x15-inch guns, whereas the other two have 4x15-inch guns - Wanstone's cost should reflect this. * For consistency, Todt Battery should have '15-inch guns',...

Re: September Playtest Pack

Book 1, section 07 - Special Traits:
• Silent and Submersible should be under Ship Traits, not Special Weapons.
• Sub-Hunter has different entries under Ship Traits and Special Weapons.

That is actually a two-page spread :)
That I'm aware of. But page 32 is much more readable for me than page 33.

Re: Victory at Sea Layout

The left, two-column layout. Between ADHD, bipolar disorder, and just plain aging geek eyes, a shorter column keeps my eyes from drifting to the wrong row when I do a visual "carriage return". Same for the rest of the book: two column is visually easier to read (and, with a rules set, learn from) th...

Always remember that any NPC intended for combat only takes at most five seconds to stat up : Str, End, Dex and their active combat skill. Anything else is unlikely to come up in combat. Any non-combat NPC takes less time, as you just need to worry about their DM for the specific task you need that ...

will they be a traveller bestiary Um with so many worlds within the Imperium wouldn't that be a something of a daunting task <snip> Why does it need to be linked to the Third Imperium setting? Make it generic and it'll be more useful to more people. They could just provide a number of pre-designed ...

You'd be surprised where inspiration can come from. Lately, I've been drawing my inspiration from TV, but in the past I've drawn inspiration for games from readings, both fiction and non- ( Zombie Survival Guide is a must if you ever run a zombie game), people I pass on the street, other games. I dr...

Regarding published previews

One of the things I'd like to see in your online previews is a table of contents for the product. When I'm shopping for my next gaming purchase, I like to get an idea of just what it is I'm going to be purchasing. If my FLGS doesn't have a copy to flip through, I have to rely on the information that...
