This could resolve the dilemma of High Guard meson bay equipped Imperium Navy ships, by retconning them with Tachyon Cannons.
Except that tachyon cannons aren't standard OTU either...

Re: Low tech ships - Need help

Pearl Harbour failed, to an extent, because the planners were too focused on killing battleships. Had they destroyed the fleet train, drydocks, fuel storage and other REMF-specific areas they would have crippled the pacific fleet. But the planners were all old-school and though big guns = big impor...

Sounds fair enough, kinda what I was thinking too. But the outer hull is still intact and sealed, it’s not an open hole to space when there’s no module, right?
Yup, modules are internal.

Is it true that The Physical Copy of Pirates of Drinax has been put back to January? I think the 1dt is for storing the net when not in use. The 100 Ton capacity is calculated into the Jump calculation, not 101. That is my reading of it anyway.
That would be correct.

Re: Solomani Confederation (Military)

Frequency hopping and several hubs, but you'll still end up with lag, unless the controllers are in tactical range. In terms of being vulnerable to someone in an acquired spaceship flying up into the mothership and uploading a virus that disables all the shields on the ships dispatched from the mot...

Realistically, you'd send drones out in space battles, the question becomes whether they are autonomous, or coordinate back with their motherships and/or command ships, which encounters lag time, and possibly electronic interference.
Don't have all the shield controlled from the mothership.

Did I overlook anything?
You could same some space using Decreased Fuel instead of Size Reduction.

There's also the Smaller Bridge option, comes with a disadvantage, but if you really want to save some more space.

There's also the Virtual Crew option to reduce the amount of crew needed.

Re: Players wanted for Pirates of Drinax egame

Its an e game so thanks to “science” the size of the UK is exquisitely irrelevant! Doesn't really need to be limited to the UK then. Just specify times if it requires a specific one. Might also want to include details on how you play (IRC, forum based, MapTools and so forth). just trying to make it...

Guess I'll have to rely on the HG then.
While both books where in development at the same time, High Guard was released later and some corrections where able to be done that didn't make it into the Core Rulebook.

Re: Starship Weapons Power Requirements

Hello everyone, The patrol corvette starship has weapons power consumption set to 30 (both in High Guard and Core Rules, so I doubt it's an error). After analysis, I extracted the following: When combined, it totals to 28, not 30. What have I missed? It is 28 in High Guard, if you have the PDF make...

So, I'm talking about a really good index - that spans all the core books as a useful tool. Possibly akin to the indexes used in GURPS, for example.
Could also be an index released as a stand alone PDF.

pilot.
One problem with this, the Intellect program only covers INT or EDU checks, Pilot is usually DEX based.
