One I particularly liked that you don't mention, works with the old LBB system, but not HG. Double Drives: You can mount more than one drive (different drive letters) and combine their effect (maximum is still 6). This gives you an installed spare basically and was used in the Annic Nova adventure....

While the Broadsword is full of questionable design choices, the one that always got me the most was giving staterooms to all the soldiers. The Gazelle got a nice weapon upgrade in the conversion to 2nd edition, but they turned it into a tin can by dropping the armor from 8 points to only 3. I do not understand the reason for that drastic reduction unless it was to guarantee that a Gazelle "invariably suffered disproportionate losses"....

The one under bridge is for the ships bridge, the command bridge (although a command bridge can) doesn't replace that in this case so isn't listed under bridge.

Pearl Harbour failed, to an extent, because the planners were too focused on killing battleships. Had they destroyed the fleet train, drydocks, fuel storage and other REMF-specific areas they would have crippled the pacific fleet. Frequency hopping and several hubs, but you'll still end up with lag, unless the controllers are in tactical range. In terms of being vulnerable to someone in an acquired spaceship flying up into the mothership and uploading a virus that disables all the shields on the ships dispatched from the mot...

Realistically, you'd send drones out in space battles, the question becomes whether they are autonomous, or coordinate back with their motherships and/or command ships, which encounters lag time, and possibly electronic interference.

You could same some space using Decreased Fuel instead of Size Reduction.

There's also the Smaller Bridge option, comes with a disadvantage, but if you really want to save some more space.

There's also the Virtual Crew option to reduce the amount of crew needed.
