It's not in original and I don't have Mongoose 1 but there are salvage scoopers in there, which aren't the same thing.
Yeah, it's in the Mongoose book. Just goes out and does repairs in the field, isn't equipped for towing. Though has space to bring smaller vessels inside.

Mobile construction should at least be detailed in the military supplements. The tankers and tenders are, but the repair ships aren't. Repair ships were a useful asset in the World War 2 Pacific theatre.
There is one in Traders and Gunboats.

Re: Ship Design Philosophy

That's what they tell their customers. In reality you use your support allowance dealing with licensing issues. I'm not usually this cynical. It's just something about RedHat. The end user is still getting support for paying, thus paying for support. But yeah, that isn't the whole story. There's so...

1) There's plenty of commercial open source software that you pay for - look at Redhat.
Well, your paying for support there not the software itself.

The reinforced hull option can be used to take some of this into account.

I understand this is not a realistic sailing game, do not worry about more Traveller vehicle book sail threads :-)
Correct, while sailing does indeed exist in the interests of game play it's pretty much abstracted and is in no way any sort of a sailing simulation.

Look in HG2e for what they laughingly describe as an ion weapon (wonder where they ripped that off).
Yes, there was a desire to support multiple systems hence the ion cannon.

Re: Where is the non-nuclear EMP?

Conceptually one way to make these is to just scale up the generator from a microwave oven. The engineering is of course not that easy. However I am sure the power generation at TL 9+ is up to the task. What's the reason these things don't exist? If they don't work in universe, why does nuclear EMP...

Re: System overview.

More of an RPG. The rules though are easier to learn / quicker to play then something like Traveller or D&D.

You'll have a PC (Pirate Character) that can improve (or weaken) during play.

You can complete quests, fight other pirates, skeletons, along with other enemies. Also ship to ship.

I’ve generally assumed all spacecraft hulls have some level of self-sealing, enough to handle pinprick leaks and reduce severity of larger holes.

Matt would be the best person to answer your questions about products, but I can tell you that many of the materials are very similar. However, the stats of most Trojan Reach worlds, some of which were modified from OTU stats during MgT1, have been brought into line with those on travellermap.com, ...

I've said this before but if the prices came from Mongoose First Edition, and their writers were European, that car price might have been 1:1 Cr/€ for the publishing year for the small European cars they don't sell in the USA. If anyone has 1st, the ground car price would be appreciated.
6,000Cr

Now in a Traveller ship you'd probably have to fire from the loading door since they don't appear to carry containers strapped to the frame, or externally. In essence this would be how the AC-130 works, where they put cannons in a cargo plane firing sideways.
There is the External Cargo Mount.

Re: Supporting Details: Registration Numbers for hulls

Maybe the hex number within the sector instead of the world name? With the shipyard number narrowing this down further to a given world, moon, asteroid belt whatever and just where.

Where it's built would already determine if it is within or outside the Third Imperium boarders.

FB still tracks non-logged in users. For example if a site (that isn't FB) has a "like button" then the script for that like button sends the IP address and certain other information back to FB when it's displayed (not pressed) - the image to draw that button comes directly from FB, after all. We h...

This issue I see is you have batteries that can be recharged elsewhere as mentioned for the x-boat description and have the power for a jump (The jump drive is powered by the battery) plus a full tank that also can do exactly the same thing. What is the reason to have both? If you can jump just usi...

But I see other threads on this forum detailing all the found errors in HG with answers and c...
