Re: Lion air, B-737 and "AI" again.

4. there's only one sensor for this system and the computer automatically believes it no matter what (a big WTF for me) Agreed, ran across this myself: It is astounding that no one who wrote the MCAS software for the 737 Max seems even to have raised the possibility of using multiple inputs, includ...

Re: High Efficiency Batteries for Jump

This issue I see is you have batteries that can be recharged elsewhere as mentioned for the x-boat description and have the power for a jump (The jump drive is powered by the battery) plus a full tank that also can do exactly the same thing. What is the reason to have both? If you can jump just usi...

Re: Far Trader/Free Trader Power Requirments in High Guard

Thanks Andrew. I just downloaded latest PDF version of High Guard from Drivethru but it seems to still have the same stats as in the printed version for Free and Far trader basic ship systems, for example. But I see other threads on this forum detailing all the found errors in HG with answers and c...

Didn't the US Air Force have an unmanned "space plane" for just those kinds of missions?

High Guard's ship tables are chock full of errors.
Did someone made an errata for those somewhere ? Could be useful.

Thanks
JNJ
They are corrected, but there hasn't been an errata.

Re: Point Defence Battery Limitations

Are Point Defence Batteries limited to 3000+ ton ships only? I seem to recall such a limitation but looking at HG 2e on page 33 (pg 34 in my copy of the pdf file), I don't see it. Is this limitation stated somewhere else or am I just misremembering? There isn't any ship size limit for Point Defence...

Care to enlighten us how hardpoints are supposed to be handled for breakaway sections?
Each section is it's own. If a section is big enough for a hardpoint it has the usual amount.

Re: Breakaway Hulls and turrets

Thanks for the confirmation. :) So, a four module breakaway system plus a core module, results in a loss of 8% of the ship's combined hull volume. Would it be safe to assume that this percentage loss is shared between the two hulls on a pro-rated basis? For instance, let's take a situation where we...

Re: Breakaway Hulls and turrets

"This whole process consumes 2% of the combined hull tonnage for the extra bulkheads and connections needed, and costs an additional MCr2 per ton consumed." Think about that for a second. Logically, if one has this cost as a one time cost regardless of how many sub-hulls there are, and these "thing...

Re: Where is the 600-ton Corsair?

The 1st edition CRB has the 400-ton version, I was looking for the 600-ton ship. But since my plan was to convert it to 2nd edition stats having that already done saves me the effort. Yeah, but only Corsair I know of for 1st edition. So gave some additional 600 ton pirate vessels. Thank you for you...

Re: Where is the 600-ton Corsair?

Core Rulebook for 1st edition.
Ships of the Reach (part of the Pirates of Drinax set) for 2nd edition.

Additional 600 ton pirate vessels would be:
Pirate Raider (Ambush Frigate) and Pirate Cruiser (Cutlass-class) found in Supplement 2: Traders and Gunboats.

Mostly. Ship stats will need conversion to 2nd edition, a little adjustment to skills but the majority of the material is fine for use with either edition.

I see there is a new product underway, "Behind the Claw" - I have failed to find...
