Re: Mercenary & vehicle weapons

Great idea re Vanguard. I want to be able to recreate the vehicles from Striker e.g. Tl15 Marine Grav APC, which is an absolute beast - current weapons just don't do it justice. Just a thought - the weapon design sequences from Striker could be used... hmm. But anyway, I'd still like to see some MGT...

Mercenary & vehicle weapons

Any plans for a Mercenary book? I feel the need for some more vehicle/heavy weapons. The ones we've got so far are OK but the variety seems a bit limited (even allowing for the vehicles & equipment catalogue). What I'd like to see is a set of weapons to cover anti-tank, artillery, guided missiles et...

Core rules - errata

Hi all, I recently downloaded a pdf of the core rules from drivethru with errata dated June 2016 (Traveller_Core_Rulebook_erratajun2016_Ebook.pdf) - I know I'm late to the party... I also have a hardcopy and just wondered if there is a list of the changes that have been made from the original print ...

Re: Ship Crew - sensor operators

Thanks all,

I agree that bridge crew are lacking so there aren't really the crew available to assign as sensor ops.

Like the house rule of 1 station per 5 tones of bridge - may adopt.

"Well, most are from S9 Fighting Ships actually." - true, and I have that supplement tucked away somewhere.

Ship Crew - sensor operators

Hi All, HG mentions the referee can assume 1 sensor operator per 1,000 of ship (pg. 28) & there is the Sensor station (pg. 39) to accomodate additional operators. Should sensor operators be addional to the listed crew requirements (pg. 21) or are they assumed to be included? I was planning on adding...

Can anyone (Matt...) confirm if there is still a pdf with the High Guard hardcopy pre-order?

Voucher for the POD Traveller version

Hi, I've been in contact with DriveThruRPG customer services (and excellent they were too) regarding the voucher from the Traveller beta programme. They sent me a link to a discounted pdf version but I'd like to redeem my $20 against the POD version when it is released. DriveThru advised me that the...

Re: Gender Neutrality

Hi Mongoose, Just to provide a slightly different PoV to the OP - I care nought for gender-neutrality but please don't go down the route of mixing pronouns. I know that is not what is being proposed here but it's getting quite common in other (lesser) RPGs. Btw, missed some: FGMP & PGMP. Better chan...

Alien upper limits on characteristics

From the MGT alien modules:
Aslan could have an upper limit of 16 on strength & endurance
Vargr had an upper limit of 16 for thir notable trait, varying by sub-species.

I take these still apply?

Great thanks - I noticed the "directives" from Marc in the revision notes :) It is a really good approach overall.

Re: Issue with the movement modifier

Yeah no problem. Not saying I won't spit my dummy, but I won't do it publicly on the forum :)

I've checked through the revision notes and they seem fairly steady - has the Goose been good at taking up player suggestions & requests?

I agree with the OP - I find that colour combination very jarring and hope it doesn't make it to the final release.

Re: Issue with the movement modifier

Thanks for the replies. You can always choose what to include depending on your style of play, mechanistic or more cinematic, but whilst it's there I thought I'd bring it up. It's the sort of thing that bugs me (in a small way). I agree a speed band approach makes more sense providing a more logarit...
