Re: 2300AD: Tools For Frontier Living. The Art.
I agree with the above. I downloaded the pdf yesterday and skimmed through - thought nice colony maps a different take on the usual plan but just as informative and excellent atmosphere. Got to the equipment section and as my teenage son might text OMG WTF! Please tell us these are place holders lef...

Re: 2300 AD - TIRANE, Alpha Centauri A + B
Have you seen the Tirane Sourcebook site (http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~dheb/ ... tirane.htm)? I think you'll find pretty much all you need there.indepth details on Tirane itself that would include world maps and details about the many different colonies there

Re: Electronic 2300AD version?
Is there any possibility of including colour versions of some of the illustrations (deck plans and renders for example) in the pdf version? I suspect I know the answer but if you don't ask you don't get.

Re: 2300AD Update
Great news - much better cover, Laurent Esmiol artwork, and Colin's words. I'm really looking forward to this.

Like this http://www.shapeways.com/model/188731/s ... tml?gid=mg you mean?Sounds interesting, albeit a bit time consuming and difficult. A gamer friend just got access to a printer, hence my recently acquired fascination.

2300AD Artwork
I'm definitely with Will on this I think the cover has been drawn by someone who has never read 2300AD and has no idea what's in it. This is a game about a gritty, hard-sf view of the future, and we get a sub-standard space-opera-ish image with a couple of people slouching around on rocks and a poin...

Colin asked I'm curious as to what people think about 2300AD. Should it be a contemporary Hard SF game, incorporating inspiration from the current generation of hard SF? Or should it look to its roots, and create the same sort of experience as the original? My short answer : both My longer answer : ...

Status of MgT 2300AD
2300ad did not feature in the 2009 State of the Mongoose. My impression is that 2300ad is still on the schedule just a bit more in the future (than perhaps some of us would like). Is there any official word on this? If some lobbying is required I for one would be happy to contribute my electrons to ...

Colin wrote My first hurdle is to create a ship design system that somehow meshes with High Guard, but gives the additional "crunch" required by 2300AD, especially in power plants Is the 2320 ship design system owned by QLI? It was certainly not part of the published pdf although it did appear in th...

It's a little more complicated than that. There are a LOT more stars in RECONS and Hipparchos than in the old Gliese 2, and some of the positions have changed (more accurate). Among other issues, Wolf 359 (Nyotekundu) is 7.8 light years away. Using new data means no Arms, which greatly changes ever...

There's asteroid mining and permanent habitats throughout the solar system, but stutterwarp arrived early enough that there was no real impetus to heavily settle the solar system. Gas giant mining for volatiles and helium-3, some scientific stations. Overall off-Earth population in the solar system...

Significant global disaster but not an extinction event or something that sends us all back ...

My Wish List
Fantastic to see the new 2300 material in preparation once more – don’t forget Laurent Esmiol for the ship illustrations. Just a few thoughts from me on what I would like (or not). For the setting What makes 2300AD 2300AD – or what you MUST keep if its not to become something else (not that I wouldn...

Fourth version available.
