Re: Talk with the Stornlands authors

Sorry for not having answered earlier, Troth, many thanks for your comments, support and advices. I like your distinction between fluff and crush. Personally, I'm more interested in "fluff" stuff when I read a sourcebook, but you're right, many readers can be in need of "crush" stuff, because they w...

Re: Talk with the Stornlands authors

Hi Troth and thank you for your feedback! Unfortunately an Assassin class was scheduled and had even been announced last year, but it has not been possible to release it in Stornlands 1 (See with Mongoose Publishing for the rationale about this decision. Concretely, the manuscript was too long). Sin...

Re: Is Toran ruled by a baron in MS5000 or not?

In the Magnamund Companion , the exact citation is " The Baronial Confederation of Toran - Although it is recognised as a baronial province, Toran is a confederation of guilds that dominates the social, political, and economic life of the city. " In my view, the text here above doesn't mean that the...

Re: The Dragons of Lencia

I'm very happy to learn that! It would be great if Sand & Sorrow , and Triumph and Tragedy could be released before or at the same time as the last Lone Wolf gamebooks (29-32), because those novels potentially constitute a wonderful prequel to the last Magnamund War (same thing for the Lencian Trilo...

Neeeeeeeed!
You're as heartless as Shoongath and Rhanghor assembled  !

So, if they are half or completely written, what are we waiting for?

Re: The Dragons of Lencia

So do I! Those trilogies are great contributions to the Lone Wolf universe, notably some of the best villains of Magnamund ever!! Need to read the sequels :D

Re: Darklands Artwork?

Is there enough additional information above and beyond the D20 version of the Darklands to suggest someone who owns the D20 version get this version? I'm not really interested in the rules so much as the fluff. Hi Grey Lord. I have already detailed what changed in the new version of The Darklands ...

Re: Darklands Artwork?

just received my copy of this book. Whilst the depth is great, the writing in some places isn't. I don't see much proof reading going on because there is quite a lot of bad grammar and inappropriate word use in the book and not just simple stuff. It almost reads like a poor translation in some case...

Re: Lone Wolf 17... Is In!

In that bonus adventure, I also enjoyed to see that you applied the stuff about Constructs you developed in the Magnamund Bestiary: very interesting monsters, indeed :).

Re: Book 17 The Deathlord of Ixia - What's Changed?

I consider the " can vs must " argument pretty weak, as it is based on semantics. This is not how I would play the transition between Books 12 and 13. I don't understand why do you discredit semantics whereas we are speaking of literary material. I just stated what is written in the rules of the ga...

Re: Lone Wolf 17... Is In!

I finally finished to read the bonus adventure, and I really enjoyed to feel what that kind of character is able to feel during its missions... I've also been really happy to discover some exciting details about an unfamiliar place of the Darklands (August may have enjoyed too)! Congratulations, Dar...

Re: Book 17 The Deathlord of Ixia - What's Changed?

You're welcome. SPOILER In fact, these modifications fix some inconsistencies of the first version: - Vadera is not the capital of Lencia (cf. the Magnamund Companion and especially the novel Dragons of Lencia !) - The Ixian were not "Old Kingdom" people since they were exterminated by Ixiataaga aro...

Re: Book 17 The Deathlord of Ixia - What's Changed?

SPOILER In sections 96, 125, 287, it is now added that "Kajarda are Undead". There are also other subtle background changes added by Joe Dever. Here are some them: "22" the flying ship draws ever closer to the fortified walls and turrets of the great northern Lencian port (PREVIOUSLY the flying ship...

Re: Book 17 The Deathlord of Ixia - What's Changed?

Also I believe Mongoose Publishing stated that they would reword the text to make it absolutely clear that Ixiataaga is treated as Undead: It's on another thread, think 'fixing bk 17', that Joe states that the sheer Necromantic power Ixiataaga possesses make the Deathlord equivalent to Undead. This...

Re: Book 30: Dead in the Deep?

Or the Chasm of Gorgoron in Dessi. You could be right - just looked at Bk 29 Story so far - -5101: Shortly after the celebration of the Fehmarn, the Chasm of Gorgoron is shaken by earthquakes for weeks. When the earthquakes finally stops, the jungle of Dessi is swarming with Agarashi. Exciting, isn...
