You too Mark (T.Y.A). Will maybe bump into you again over at Project Aon or another Lone Wolf site when the gamebooks and RPG are resurrected!

Re: Mongoose deserves to be a commercial failure
After yesterday's Lone Wolf announcement and the disgraceful way this company has behaved wrt taking people's money and not providing a product or refund I think they are a company in terminal decline. Sad but true. They are providing refunds. In fact they are offering more than one option. Serious...

Re: Question for Matt: Mega Deal Refund Confirmation
I hope noone will accept a refund through store credit: it's surely legal, but a customer who buys something wants that article, not other things. When I firstly read the news I figured out Mongoose's people going to a car seller, choosing a car, and then beeing adressed some days after with a mess...

Re: So ... Book 18?
Very sad indeed. Mongoose are trying their best to make the pain and disappointment less. They are offering two options to Mega Deal customers: 1) A store credit at the full value of the Mega Deal you purchased for products now or later - ie, it's a store credit that has no expiry on it and can be u...

Re: A question for Mongoose/Joe/whoever can speculate
So when people said that someone was telling lies, they were not so far from the truth... Some "blind" LW fans should read many threads in this forum before they disappear and learn from their mistakes. That's completely unnecessary and pretty inaccurate. I'm pretty much 100% sure that you do not k...

Re: Question for Matt: Mega Deal Refund Confirmation
Matt, Thankyou very much replying to this so clearly and patiently. I'm sure this is really upsetting for you but by explaining all this you really are coming out of it in the best way possible and although we're all hugely disappointed as to what has happened we can still say "... but Mongoose stoo...

Re: Question for Matt: Mega Deal Refund Confirmation
You're the only one that's interpreted that as such and our sales contract is with Mongoose and Mongoose alone. I hope you're right but what you're saying above is certainly open to a massive amount of interpretation and is in no way explicit. Personally, I think you're completely wrong. So, can we ...

Question for Matt: Mega Deal Refund Confirmation
Matt, There's a couple of questions that Lone Wolf Mega Deal customers need confirmation on, specifically: Will all Mega Deal customers be offered a pro-rata refund of a reduced amount based on the books they have already received. Can you please address/confirm this ASAP as the 'shop credit' option...

Re: So ... Book 18?
Yeah, Jolt, I can sort of see where you're coming from although I would be really surprised if it materialises into another book run. Remember, Mongoose are offering a refund (of sorts) so for Joe to then say you're getting something similar for free off of him would be very unlikely. It may be that...

Re: Where are the Lone Wolf MPRPG books?
Elapsed time is not an issue if you use contract law for this, the contract is still in force because it has not been completed (in this case by Mongoose). I didn't sign a contract with Mongoose I ordered product from them, which falls under different laws as far as I'm aware - ie, Sales of Goods A...

Re: Where are the Lone Wolf MPRPG books?
Furthermore, I believe (not sure, not a lawyer, but I know a contract lawyer) basic UK contract law allows/enforces for the "back to square 1" concept. That is to say you could return all the books you had received and get a full cash refund of the complete purchase cost. Not sure though about the ...

Re: Important!
Lastly, knowing Joe as I do, this whole matter is of great import to him. He cares about his fans and I wouldn't be surprised if he's got something special in mind for those who have been hit by this cancellation. Well, let's hope Mongoose give him some kind of mailing list then as many of us no lo...

Re: Where are the Lone Wolf MPRPG books?
Matt, I really think you need to consider treating customers fairly and consistently here. We have every intention of doing so. However, I have no idea who TYA is. If he gets in touch with his name, address, and order number, we are going to be able to help him out a lot faster than if we backtrack...

Re: So ... Book 18?
As per Msprange's announcement, Dever may possibly be considering giving those of us who were shafted with megadeals some nonspecific 'Lone Wolf material' to make up for the loss. Which could very easily be a tshirt or a Lone Wolf mouse pad. I sure as hell would not interpret that to mean 15...

Re: So ... Book 18?
I have trouble believing he's going to absorb the need to fulfill the remaining 15 books to the Megadeal customers. Does he even know who we are? Where have you read/heard that this is going to happen? It's not been mentioned at all. Mega Deal customers are Mongoose customers and not Joe Dever ones...
